o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Low A His level was lower because he has missed a lot of time with injuries. if he can stay healthy he could be a great piece going forward.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I can't decide if a I want the Orioles to kick some ass in the post season or get humiliated in the first round
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Member in mid September when we were begging for Pompey to just get an at-bat. Yeah Gibby probably feeling dumn now
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I can't decide if a I want the Orioles to kick some ass in the post season or get humiliated in the first round f*** them, I hope they get swept in the first round.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'm absolutely loving this game.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The LF-CF part of our outfield is unfair.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Mayberry has looked good at first. Yet another reason Lind will be let go!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Fitting way to end it with Stroman embarrassing the last batter.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Winning season for the Jays. Oh, and with the Jays winning, the playoffs are (almost) set: (#1) Angels vs. (WC) KC or DET or OAK (#2) Orioles vs. (#3) KC or DET
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 nice showing by the kids
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Mayberry is kind of tied to Lind... Not when Melky is my DH next year! Nobody should have to be tied to Lind, that's just cruel!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Doubtful. I think someone offers him 4-years 65M and he gone. QO for sure for Melky. so the worse thing that happens is the Jays get a pick. what about Jansen, do they try to bring him back?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Yeah it's a near certainty that Lind and Mayberry with platoon at 1B. The issue is it makes Valencia pointless to have, since he won't be platooning with anyone, and he's not versatile enough to be useful when the team needs a 4th OF and an infielder who can at least play short (Izturis) to back up the middle infield. They have to decide who they want long-term, Valencia or JMJ. I don't think there is any need for both. Unless Valencia starts at 3B, but Gibbons seems to have given up on that illogical dream thankfully.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Lind for 7 mil to play half a season is not worth it! Let em go! Use that 7 mill else where!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 So the team improved by at least 8 games over 2013. If it improves another 8 in 2015...
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Let the Jeter hate continue... Guy is f***ing legend. Show some respect. f*** Jeter, most overrated player of all time.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 They're tied alright, BBBB is f***ed. Coming from the King of f***ed ! Lol Thank you!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'm not creating a new GDT. Jose deserved that K, after Pat saying "he's looking very hitterish out there". I picked up Happ for his two start week in my big pool and with about a $400 difference between 2nd and 3rd WHIP is the biggest stat for me right now. I will either be team Happ or sending him death threats after this game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Happ is doing just good enough for the front office to bring him back as our #4-5 next year. He's eaten some innings this year but I don't care to see him again next year.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Good baserunning Pillar. Guy isn't very good but he gives it 100%.

If happ becomes a free agent teams would have to prob sign him to 2/20. AA should be able to take happ's option and deal him subsequently for an asset. If he isn't than AA is a failure
43211234 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Chen should be suspended for what he does to his hat.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Good baserunning Pillar. Guy isn't very good but he gives it 100%. He is reed Johnson except reed Johnson pounded left handed pitching which made him a great platoon player

Unless you are signing another starter I can't see them not at least picking it up with the thought of trading someone if needed. Carrying 7 starters is only an issue if you are blocking someone who is absolutely going to out-pitch the guy blocking him. With Sanchez and Norris still being question marks I think Happ is worth picking up the option, having options in March is a good thing. Picking up the option without at least shopping a starter would be stupid though.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 yay 5 more years of Buck and Pat talking about how old they are.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 yay 5 more years of Buck and Pat talking about how old they are. But you are not a Jays fan so what does it matter ;-)
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 He is reed Johnson except reed Johnson pounded left handed pitching which made him a great platoon player probably can't do it over a long career like Reed...but I can see Pillar's best seasons close to that 117 wRC that Reed has against LHP.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 yay 5 more years of Buck and Pat talking about how old they are. And talking about Bautista winning a GG based on assists and errors. Holy f*** are they ever terrible...
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 But you are not a Jays fan so what does it matter ;-) AA and Beest could be gone by then and I can come back. And I still watch most Jays games.
