burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Reimold injured again? That can't be. I think they were going to PH for him anyway since Lind came in for Valencia.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 If it gives him confidence to keep going 2-4 then I say let him do it more often. He may need to do something else to improve his range though. A rattail? Biogenesis??
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Sweet GB DP Oh, and Seattle and Baltimore are losing
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Even though he left the curveball up Ramirez was clearly fooled by the pitch, good job Sanchez.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 lol at that last swing. Was completely fooled by the timing.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 saki with the turn Sanchez getting it done
IBTrini Verified Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Even though he left the curveball up Ramirez was clearly fooled by the pitch, good job Sanchez. That was a nice result for him. His confidence will keep building with outings like this. Good for him and good for the Jays. Nice D there too.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Sweet GB DP Oh, and Seattle and Baltimore are losing jays hit, they win.... it's simple as that. pitching is more or less good enough to keep them in games, if the offense shows up they can win games.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Putting Francisco against lefties is like putting a BBDL'er in the DDL.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Regarding last night's game, rumour has it that Stroman was tipping his pitches, similar to what Hutchison did earlier this season. Luckily, we'll make up for it with a win tonight, providing the lead holds.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Cleveland beating the O's 6-0. Makes you wonder if Machado's injury is hurting the O's more than thought offensively.

True, but they struggled to score last night as well in a walkoff loss to Cleveland. And Ryan Flaherty is a huge dropoff from Machado. Combine that with the regression of Nelson Cruz, and the O's are in a slump. Luckily, they still have a cushion. Whether it lasts depends on division matchups in August/September.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Navarro pls call the curveball.

Whether it lasts depends on division matchups in August/September. Like I said one or two games doesn't matter really. The Orioles will have to play like .420 ball for the Jays to win the division. Even if they had no Machado for the rest of the season it would be really difficult not to win the division.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Oakland is losing 4-2 to the Braves. A loss drops them into the wild card race.. and with games vs. LA(7 in the next two weeks), and games against Houston (who they are only 8-5 against compared to the Angels' dominance) and Seattle, the A's could be in trouble. Offensive regression and the Cespedes trade have hurt the team. Only that series vs. Minnesota has prevented them from falling out of first.. until tonight when the A's lose and the Angels win (5-2 lead as we speak).
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Can Jansen close this one out???

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Alexei Ramirez is really slick at SS, some great plays in this series.

They also have a 3 gamer vs. the Reds as well. Doesn't really matter who they play, they played some of their best baseball against a really tough schedule coming out of the break. Those teams you listed are not very good and much weaker than the teams they played on their big run.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 LET'S GO, JANSSEN! Make sure the struggles are behind you!
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Come on Jansen we need this
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 4 pitches two out. Hopefully it's back to the old Janssen efficiency.
