Chris Young. Chris Young. Chris Young.

Goodnight. I've had enough.

Hope Wilner gets lit up tonight.

Idk where you stand, but I'm waiting for an answer from the others.

Neutral. Although it does seem to happen very often that guys had a "good outing" but in he end we lost.

Not at all my friend. I can't stand the RBI stat or average stat.

I would be considered saber. Just not blinded by advanced stats like a few posters on here are.

Like was mentioned earlier - those guys don't even want to watch the game, they just want to look at fly ball ratios and strikeouts.

The game of baseball can be enjoyed a lot more if you actually watch the game, ALONG with embracing statistics.

There is nothing advanced in understanding why a pitcher who doesn't induce weak contact, or generate swinging strikes will not be able to sustain prolonged success. A guy who gives up hard contact while not generating swinging strikes is not "shutting down" the opposition.

It does happen all the time both ways. Actually I bet it doesn't match up exactly very often at all. And in the end of it all, what's more important to you? Whether we won or lost? Or whether we should have won or lost?

Please answer my question re Sanots

Hard to matchup this series drawing King Felix, Young, and Iwakuma. Hutch & Happ had to be at there best and clearly they weren't plus when the bats go silent forget about it.. Maybe Dickey will pitch a gem tomorrow so we can at least get one.

Before I sleep, I just wanted to say: this rotation is complete s*** and sooo f***ing inconsistent (except for Stro). Time to sign a new starter in the offseason or 2015 will be even worse than this disappointing end of the season.

I think I'm with you. I think there is a tonne of value in advanced stats. But it annoys the hell out of me to constantly have to read GDT's that are ruined by a few self proclaimed advanced stats guys telling me things that aren't a reflection of whats happening in the game. I don't want to hear from those 2 about how terrible Young is pitching when he is shutting us down, even though I agree that he is getting lucky.

Well you can just look at his pitches and tell he is junkballing. The blue jays need to alter their approach and not try to hit HR every AB because in this park at night the ball doesn't carry.

Unless it's Happ serving up meatballs..

Toronto sports teams are really consistent. Consistent at being an embarrassment. I still find it crazy how they didn't even add a relief pitcher at the deadline, let alone a starter in the winter.

If he keeps putting zero's on the board, and yet you keep arguing me, well then I don't know if you can be saved.

In other news, good to see the Jays hitting Young hard tonight, eh Havok?

Guy came into tonight's game with the highest xFIP amongst qualified SP and after the game, that's going up. Young didn't "shut down" the Blue Jays. In terms of batted balls in play, he induced more flyballs than groundballs tonight. The guy's GB% is sitting at 23%, and he doesn't miss enough bats to get away with not inducing enough grounballs. Young has been due for some big time correction and it's only a matter of time before this house of cards collapses Jeff Locke style.

Are you daft?

Not making fun of SABR and xFIP. Making fun of the guy who used xFIP to claim that the Jays weren't getting shut down tonight. Y'know, as opposed to the traditional RUNS stat that says we are.

Did i say i was referring to you?

Although....i bet i could make alot of money off you too.

Young didn't "hypothetically shut down" the Jays.

But he sure did actually shut them down.
