CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 At this point lets just hope that Melk won't go on the DL.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Really tough loss... Ugh. We really need Lind and Edwin back
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Lol I watched 2 innings this entire series... Good thing... Another no show by the Blow Jays.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Let's go A's!! Let's go A's!! Let's go A's!!
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 tolleson would have been extremely useful in this game, shoewalter abused the f*** out of our lack of bench Why wont they give Pillar a chance. Was tolleson on the bench tonite? Cant keep track anymore.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Now we will be tied with 3 other teams for WC hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I wouldn't even bother looking at WC standings until there is 1 week left in the season. We're gunning for the division. Just keep trying to make a push for 1st place.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Why wont they give Pillar a chance. Was tolleson on the bench tonite? Cant keep track anymore. Pillar injured and Tolleson on paternity leave
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Lol I watched 2 innings this entire series... Good thing... Another no show by the Blow Jays. Yeah, who'd have thought a month and a half of half a AAA lineup couldn't compete every night? Answer: Rogers.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 O's win.. tied for the wild card with the Yanks (who we may be surpassed by the Royals if they win tonight.) On to a struggling Detroit.. who do not have the dominant bullpen the O's have (Detroit's is one of the worst in the AL.. and now they're not hitting either.) Maybe the Tigers series will spark the Jays again. Important series for both the Tigers & Jays.. Royals are not only facing leading the 2nd wild card, THEY could lead the division by the end of the weekend if the Tigers get swept.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Can't be surprised with how many injuries this team has when a lot of their players are injury prone. Reyes, Bautista, Lawrie, Rasmus, Morrow are all injury prone and regularly have been on the DL in their careers.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I wish I hadn't watched this game! http://www.wagehourinsights.com/Captain%20Obvious%20HotelsCom.jpg They should have postponed the game, till the jays got their injured players back.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 no suprise they lost this series and they will lose the next one vs Detroit
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 no suprise they lost this series and they will lose the next one vs Detroit Play in traffic please.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Now we will be tied with 3 other teams for WC hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Neither. Royals lead 2-1 against the D-backs. This weekend the Tigers and Jays need to start worrying about the Royals.. they are sneaking up on the AL Central and 2nd wild card. And with the Tigers schedule, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Detroit ends up missing the playoffs because of the surging Royals.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Its hard to win with guys that are so easy to pitch to like Fransisco, and Rasmus. It figures Rasmus gets robbed by the stadium of getting a rbi, that would have given us an extra run.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Pillar injured and Tolleson on paternity leave Give birth already.

Just keep trying to make a push for 1st place. Jays are 5 games back with 46 left to play. It's going to be a tough challenge to win the division even if the O's just play .500 the rest of the season.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 no suprise they lost this series and they will lose the next one vs Detroit Tigers just lost 3 of 4 to a Yankees team they should've beat, and have a negative run diff. since the All-Star Break ended. And now they're not hitting either. Jays have a decent chance.

And now we're both chasing the surging Royals.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Watch the Tigers go off against the Jays after struggling vs Yankees...just the way things work. 2nd WC race it is!

comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 AA says EE could be back monday. Dont hold breath!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 AA says EE could be back monday. Dont hold breath! LOL, not even the casuals believe what comes out of AA's mouth anymore....except for the media that cover the team.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Now about the Tigers series.. despite their strong pitching, their offense has been awful except for a series vs. Colorado, which inflates offenses all the time with their terrible pitching. 2nd half stats: .254/.306/.372., 158/48 K/BB ratio August stats: .244/.295/.383. Perhaps Dombrowski should've added a bat instead of giving up a natural CF in Austin Jackson, who would be useful right now? Davis and Carrera are not guys to run out in CF every day.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Not likely when teams meet the Jays they tend to end their losing streaks Oh quit it. Have you even seen how the Tigers have played lately (outside of Colorado and Arizona, who are so awful, they make bad offenses look like the '27 Yankees) They're not a good team, and are in serious danger of destroying their playoff chances with a declining offense and horrid bullpen offsetting the starting pitching.

Well, now that you're predicting doom for them, they're a playoff lock.
