Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I'd move Sanchez for Lester. 4 innings ago people had much different feelings about Sanchez.

If the Sox weren't an AL East rival I could get on board with this. Maybe AA can find a 3rd team to get involved so the Jays don't have to face Sanchez or Norris multiple times a season for the next 6 years.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I would move Sanchez for Lester too. I would move Sanchez for Lester + a B prospect... Not straight up for 2 months of him.

Does it really make a difference of its Sanchez or "x" prospect? If the prospect is better than Sanchez or Norris than that trade would be worse for the Blue Jays. Its not like Sanchez is a known thing either, he could very easily bust. Pitcher that throw that hard usually will face an arm injury down the road.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 And if I'm Cherington, I ask you to send that over as a formal offer, put the print out on the floor, and take a selfie of me urinating on it, and post it to GTFOOH dot com. Then Cherington can f*** himself gently in his ass... 2 Months of a starting pitcher is not worth much to me... Edit: Kershaw? Maybe... Lester isn't Kershaw...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I would move Sanchez for Lester too. And next year when we get shut down by Lester and Sanchez you will be crying yourself to sleep
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Man I might have to buy a molester jersey if this happened.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 You're aware that this is irrational though, right? The Red Sox are going to get a top prospect from some team for Lester and that prospect could f*** the Jays for years to come. It doesn't matter what team drafted and developed the prospect. Exactly this. If the sox are confident that Lester wont sign it is beneficial for them to trade within the division... would have to be really pricey for the yanks though.
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Giving up our best prospects to a division rival for only two months of Lester? No thanks.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 I can actually see AA having 9 "almost" deals done at this point
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 If the rumours are correct, Price is as good as gone... To St. Louis- Price To Tampa- Miller+ OT+ 15' 1st rd Comp pick. They'd be nuts, not to take that??? Good god. Please, no.

jays76 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Who knows if the Blue Jays will even be good next year though. They need to make the playoffs this year. This^^
Gorlak Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I really hope AA doesn't get any of the aces available, Too much of a sellers market.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Bold predictions as Trade Deadline nears Phil Rogers: Lester, Miller to Jays Jon Lester and Andrew Miller from the Red Sox to the Blue Jays for Drew Hutchison or Aaron Sanchez and a package of prospects. It used to be considered bad business to trade within your division but those days are going away. The thought now is to get the best deal, period. This trade gives the Blue Jays a better chance to advance to the postseason and the No. 1 starter to help them win a Wild Card Game, if they have to play one. It could be a real coup for the Red Sox if they double-back in December to re-sign Lester.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 IanMBrowne Farrell says in light of everything going on with Lester, it makes the most sense for Workman to start tomorrow. Pirates or Cards
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If the rumours are correct, Price is as good as gone... To St. Louis- Price To Tampa- Miller+ OT+ 15' 1st rd Comp pick. They'd be nuts, not to take that??? Clearly they want Oscar Taveras because Miller isn't good enough, I would want Gonzales or Martinez

Pirates or Cards[/quote great news for the jays....I like our chances with buehrle against workman vs buehrle against lester!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Trade talk has me worried Jays brought up Sanchez to showcase Will hate losing ace potential with years of control for a rental
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I dont want the Jays to give up too much for a rental.
prayforthejays Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I dont want the Jays to give up too much for a rental. 100% lester doesn't go to Jays. Apparently Jays are not one of the teams in the running....
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 ChrisCotillo Jose Tabata pulled from lineup before game at AAA Indianapolis tonight. Lester to the Pirates in 3....2.....1
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Clearly they want Oscar Taveras because Miller isn't good enough, I would want Gonzales or Martinez Don't look into his 2014 stats. He's been pretty bad, though he's still just 24 and has a fantastic arm. I'd prefer Miller over those two still any day.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 lol........Ang, you entertain me bro!! Tabata > Josh Bell Tabata is ready to the bigs
