BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Thursday is the day. We actually won a game and then a SERIES in NY. Is it a sign from the heavens? Edwin has had a "minor setback". We have all heard that before. Lets hope its not what I'm worried about. Price is off the market according to many... We are still, shockingly enough, still very much in this. I think NYY can say the same after losing 4 starters and their pitching continues to be their strength?! This is going to be an interesting week...or not.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I think it was a Rosenthal tweet that I read that Cabrara from the Indians might be an option for the Jays. Now I don't know if Lindor is ready yet I have a hard time seeing Cleveland deal him when they are still in the hunt.

Also he would have to move to 2nd base and that could be risky because 1) you don't know how he will take that in a contract year 2) He will have to learn on the fly playing 2nd since he hasn't played there

Sorry, I meant more in that he will have to learn with Reyes on how they play the DP. Also that was a pretty long time ago so it could take time to get used to. Im not sure he will be worth the price it will cost as he isn't a very good bat.
