We could use a reliever to fill the void that Delabar has left. If we had a right handed reliever with good stuff it would give us the shutdown specialists for the late game jams along with Cecil.

 

We have tons of these, unfortunately throwing strikes is not a skill they all posses consistently.

my sense is the jays are hoping Dickey rounds into form & has a hot streak throughout August & into September...

 

if his knuckleball is dancing like it was in Boston hereon in, and he limits the long ball, he could be very tough...

 

we've seen spurts of Dickey at his best, a game here, game there, but not dominant over a stretch...

 

perhaps we'll see what AA and the jays thought they were really getting in the trade throughout August/September...if so, could match up with any pitcher head to head...

He isn't worth anything. I find it hard for a team to pick him up and even eat his salary. What value does a player who isn't hitting well who is a free agent at the end of the year have?

 

When we acquired Rasmus he was a highly sought after commodity. I highly doubt he has zero value now!!
