jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 John Lott @LottOnBaseball 1m Nolan Reimold to 15-day DL with left calf strain. Anthony Gose returns. #BlueJays Boy is Reimold fragile..
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Why wouldn't you call up Goins, who is the backup infielder here, unless Kawasaki is healthy. Team still has Bautista to backup Outfield with Mastro Is Gose already in Tampa today???? Will he be able to play against RHP today??? Arent we facing a LHP tommorrow Why not just send Stroman down, and he wouldn't even miss a start plus you can have Goins up here too Why do i care about this so much
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Why gose instead of pillar? Pillar's in Biggie's doghouse.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Dammit Really wanted to see what a healthy Reimold could do
admin Site Manager Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Man that sucks for Reimold. Hitting well in AAA, gets his chance up here, hits well in a few games and gets hurt.
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Dammit Really wanted to see what a healthy Reimold could do Well now by the time he is back, Bautista will be back in RF (Hopefully) so we wont need him except on the bench against LHP, maybe at DH??
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Maybe there is no such thing as a healthy Reimold
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Well now by the time he is back, Bautista will be back in RF (Hopefully) so we wont need him except on the bench against LHP, maybe at DH?? Yes he MIGHT be our best choice for 4th OF when JB is back but that Gose defense is just so......
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Also would be much appreciated if Colby would wake the f*** up and start hitting some day. So tired of him being a .268 OBP 33% K black hole.

So tired of him being a .268 OBP 33% K black hole. Rasmus has been downright awful. Career lows in average and OBP Worse for him he is in a contract year, and practically killing his value. I reckon he has already lost 20-30 mil in a total contract that he would have signed, had he had a season similar to last year. I think its possible that to increase his value, he put too much emphasis on the long ball, and his OBP has suffered. also striking out more than he has ever had before. Maybe the artificial turf is getting to him, he has been terrible at home. Would not resign,

flafson Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 So we have no backup infielder now, great. I hope some of our catchers can play SS/2B.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Fixed injuries and poor performance with reimold and Gillespie, a week later both are on the dl. lol
flafson Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Would prefer Gose over Pillar all day. Not even debateable. I'm shocked Pillar hasn't been moved in a minor league deal. Perhaps Pillar is safer than Gibbons. It's not a matter of Gose Vs. Pillar, it's a matter of we have no backup infielder.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 It's not a matter of Gose Vs. Pillar, it's a matter of we have no backup infielder. what? why are you bringing this infielder point when he isn't talking about infielders. Stay on point

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Gibbons said Kawasaki can play if needed. Also the manager is allowed to take the field too in a pinch

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 So what's the lineup going to be with Gose instead of Reimold? Is Bautista going back to RF or are Gose and Mastro going to split time there while Bautista splits time between 1B and DH (presumably DH against RHP and 1B against LHP)?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Also the manager is allowed to take the field too in a pinch citation needed... Seriously, I'm actually interested if this is actually allowed.

Apparently Bautista is RF full time now so I'm guessing we'll see: POS RHP/LHP C Navarro/Kratz 1B Johnson 2B Kawasaki 3B Francisco/Tolleson SS Reyes RF Bautista CF Rasmus/Mastroianni LF Gose/Cabrera DH Cabrera/Navarro

comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 How about calling up Gose and Pillar, and sitting Rasmus. Do we want to win or honour contracts.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 OMG,what a picture, and its so appropriate for tonight. It sums up tonites game. I feel bad for Dickey... we cant score off anyone right now. Maybe of we face a non ace then we will.
