I know some know it all will say but we are in first place. We only in first place because the rest of the division isn't playing good but you figure that all the other teams in the division have been to the playoffs in the past two seasons and have experience that we don't have.

 

Who are the jays ? They are the team we saw in April and June and let's not forget that last year we had the lil run where we played real well and showed our true colors the rest of the season and truth be told we not any different this year . What the team needs is to fire the manager just like they should have done last year we always forget to fire him when we play over our heads . It's like that girlfriend you wanna break up with n u know she ain't no good but she gives you good sex and you forget about for a minute but she ain't no good for you but before you know it you gone out with her 6 more months than you should have that's gibbons for you.

 

The meltdown has just officially begun mark my words it's not that you have to win every game it's how they are losing that should make you know that we are heading nowhere fast .

Last year I remember around the same time of the season being part of a very similar convo on the old forum. I had picked up on very troubling early season woes guess what I was told ? You guessed it! "It's too early" the phrase it's too early only applies to teams with winning traditions not a team like the jays.

 

The truth of the matter is our hitting coach should not ve been fired or let go , you don't mess with a good thing . It's never too early for a mediocre team like this. All the games count we need strong foundation to build on otherwise what I see is a trend that's going to continue thru the season.

Why fire Gibbons lets be real these players suck the proof that it ain't the manager is that last year with a better manager these very clowns made the manager look bad. The best part for me watching the jays is they suck so much it's now funny I used to get depressed and I asked myself why are you concerned with a team that don't understand baseball

Whenever I am feeling down I try to remember the immortal words of the great Dennis Green. "The Bears are who we thought they were, and we let em off the hook!" They warm my heart.

There's no reason to panic. This team was widely predicted to be around .500 at best and that's basically what they are. They just caught fire for a month and had a bunch of fluky circumstances go their way, which has vastly inflated their record.

 

People can point to the standings all they'd like to deflect from any (totally justified) criticism of the team's play, but the division as a whole sucks ass and the only reason we've managed to not fully blow the lead yet is because the Yankees and Orioles keep choking. Would anyone really be surprised if our luck runs out there, too?

 

At the end of the day, we have one of the worst GM's in the sport and a poor manager who doesn't get the best out of his players and loves to overmanage. We've mortgaged the future on a bunch of overrated and injury-prone players and nothing was done in the offseason to improve on last year's debacle. The end result was never going to be pretty.

Looks like Boston is gonna win and they will be 6 back after today and after the west coast swing coming up and the way the jays are playing we could be fourth in the division . Trust me folks I wanna be so wrong about this but year in year out for the past 15 years I am always correct
