I don't think "being negative" is illegal however it could be that in the mind of the forum creator it is in their best interest to keep that behaviour at a minimum so as not to alienate individuals who just like talking about baseball. By the way, there is a subtle difference between saying something negative and being negative.

 

It's really hard to stomach posts about the game being over after a couple of innings. If it is too emotional for an individual to handle then maybe it would be better to stop watching the game and pick up a new activity. The game is normally only over after the 9th inning and anything can happen in a baseball game.
