guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Are you kidding me? Score runs, then, think about defensive positions (Edwin 1B, Santos DH/P) knowing our luck he'll be blind by the end of the week

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Barry Davis: "Tough loss Gibby, does that mean you switch things up with regards to the starter for tomorrow night?" Gibby: "Naaah! I'll tell you what Barry, that Orgfiller kid can really handle himself out there. Ya know we call up this raw kid to give us an emergency start or two and he does an admirable job of giving us a chance to win every single time he goes out there. We weren't able to pick up the win tonight, but the kid is a battler and I love how he kept his composure during some tense moments in the middle frames of the game. Cow will report to Dunedin for a rehab stint and we will go from there. As for tomorrow, Org is on tap to start for us. We really trust the kid." Meanwhile in the Blue Jays GDT Messageboard: GDTFaS: Orgfiller had a good outing. Kept his Reactionary/9 low whilst maintaining a solid thanks/post ratio. His xPost- was above average, and we'll take that from the young kid, all the stats point to him regressing to the mean, not to mention that the trolls lost him some runs that an above average poster would have gotten. Promising start. AnemicPosting: Wow, here we go again with the "luck" excuses. He was horrible, were you not watching the GDT? The stats don't mean anything as long as it results in a loss, fatcow wouldn't have let this happen.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 I think that's a fine role for me. I'm like the mop up man! I have previous experience making GDTs when Fatcow was MIA late last season. Here. And Here. Among multiple other instances. I was also the minor league man last season! Here. And Here. Also having done a few other games as well. I'm the college draft pick that signs for $1000! Your MiLB GDT's > your MLB GDT's. Pillar-lite.

guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 my god that anemicoffense impression. post of the year
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Gibby mismanaged the pen a bit tonight. Bringing in Rasmussen in a one run game against NYY was very, very questionable.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 What's Francisco's excuse? cant see the low breaking balls past his gut. not idea where they have gone ones they get past the point of no return.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 my god that anemicoffense impression. post of the year It was actually kinda weak. I would admit if it was a good impression too. Try again guys.
orpheus Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Some bad decisions by gibby, and walks really hurt..Very frustrating game, a game that was very winnable. Always felt like we had runners on base but could not deliver after melky's hit.

To me, this is Gibbons' only major flaw as a manager; new bullpen guys, usually the lowest on the depth chart, get thrust into high leverage situations. Same thing with Korecky a while back.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 What's Gibby supposed to do. The situation called for a lefty and Loup had pitched two days in a row. He should have gone to Rasmussen. If Rasmussen isn't fit to pitch in a close game, then we have three such relievers (Rasmussen, Jenkins, Redmond) which is two too many and falls on AA. I would have pulled Rasmussen after hitting Jeter though, that's my only gripe.

The issue was not going to rasmussen, the issue was he clearly left him in too long when everyone at the park knew he simple did not have it
