TBJ12 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Just curious about construction around the RC. Will I be able to take the Spadina exit or will I be forced to take Lakeshore? Taking the Go Train from Burlington is also an option if its going to save me time/frustration.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Yeah, save yourself the hassle and just take the GO.
flafson Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) I could be wrong but when i was in RC about 2 weeks ago i didn't see (from distance) anything wrong on Spadina. Edited June 8, 2014 by flafson Cat on the keyboard
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 I would rather drive if I could. Can anyone here say for certain if Spadina is open or closed today?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Go Train is easiest. TTC was horrible yesterday. And there was lots of traffic.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Looks like I'm just going to take the Go Train. Can't stand the thought of being stuck in traffic for an hour or more on my only day off.

RickyWalks Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Dad and I come from London so we usually park at Yorkdale and take the subway downtown. See a lot of other Blue Jays jersey wearing folks doing the same.
shortstop Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 always drive in but took the GO on Saturday...i've been converted...

See a lot of other Blue Jays jersey wearing folks doing the same. We usually do the same things and find it totally stress-free. It's also nice seeing a lot of the Jays fans on the train and the walk is short to the Rogers Centre. Will never bother driving into Toronto again to see a game.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 always drive in but took the GO on Saturday...i've been converted... I've also been converted. Not having to battle traffic in TO took some of the sting out of the 5-0 loss.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I must say the city of Toronto is pretty embarrassing right now when it comes to tourists. Front street is such a mess and has been for years (and looks to be many more years). The subways were closed today (and seem to be closed more than open), there is so much garbage, and everything smells like s***. Hopefully it will look great when it's finished though, but I'd hate to be a tourist right now.
