Jays: Buehrle is looking to win his seventh straight decision, a personal streak currently second to his nine-game run from April 16-June 28, 2005. He became baseball's first 10-game winner Sunday, limiting Kansas City to six hits over eight innings in a 4-0 victory. The Blue Jays improved their major league-leading home run total to 89 as Jose Bautista and Brett Lawrie went deep. Bautista's 15th of the season extended his hitting streak to 12 games, during which he's 19 of 44 with 12 RBIs, while Lawrie's was his third in four games. Toronto has hit 39 homers during its 20-4 stretch. Averaging 1.44 home runs, the Blue Jays' pace trails only the 2010 and 2000 clubs, which finished with 257 and 244 homers, respectively. Cardinals: Miller cruised through the first six innings Monday against Kansas City - conceding only two singles - before Alex Gordon's homer marked the first of four straight hits against him to open up the seventh. He finished the inning but was charged with four runs. The Cardinals, who have lost eight of 10, haven't been below .500 since a 19-20 record after May 12. A loss Saturday would mark the first time they've been below the .500 mark this late in a season since finishing 78-84 in 2007. The Cards' pitching staff has done well in trying to limit the long ball, having surrendered the third-lowest total of homers (19) in the Major Leagues. sdyment Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I love watching Buehrle pitch at least as much as I dislike watching Dickey pitch. GO JAYS GO!
8D Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Our ace, Buerhle on the mound!! Yes, this is real life! And I like our chances too! lol

8D Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Jays starters still at #10 in the MLB for most WAR. Beat out the A's!
flafson Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Their pitcher seem to be prone to home runs. The guy yesterday was prone to keep the ball in the park and we tagged him for two. Crossing fingers!
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Ya know... It almost feels like we can sweep this series too. The lineup just looks so deep. Any chance Miller quiets the bats today? I don't think so.
awsomest Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Better not lose to someone named "Shelby". or somebody with a 5.10 fip , 4.3 BB per 9 and 1.45 k/bb

starfield Verified Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 The most impressive part about this team is that it came back right after the two game losing streak. As long as we have winning series I can't complain
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 99 games left; 99 heartattacks to go.
