burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I would go with Cole Hamels or Bartolo Colon, f*** it I don't think Bartolo Colon is even an improvement that makes it worthwhile to trade for him.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I don't think Bartolo Colon is even an improvement that makes it worthwhile to trade for him. He's reliable and has experience He's definitely an upgrade over happ and 2014 dickey
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 He's reliable and has experience He's definitely an upgrade over happ and 2014 dickey Colon for 2 months could be great, but 11M for the next season isn't look very good. The big dude is a time bomb.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 He's reliable and has experience He's definitely an upgrade over happ and 2014 dickey The "experience" part is so overblown in baseball. Matt Moore and Sonny Gray are 2 guys to name a few that had no experience and started playoff games. I can't think of anyone that would rather have Buehrle start over Stroman in a playoff game and he is "reliable" and "experienced". Give me the better pitcher no matter what age and experience.

You got a point with Stro over Mark. But dude, I'd start Colon over Happ or Hutch or even f***ing Dickey in a playoff game, no doubt about it.
