FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Maybe things would have gone differently if the fat retard made some meaningful acquisitions at the deadline Things would have gone really differently had the fat retard not blown the entire budget on two horrendous trades.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Things would have gone really differently had the fat retard not blown the entire budget on two horrendous trades. That's not as bad as blowing hundreds of millions trying to buy Jeter a championship before he retires this season in Ellsbury, Beltran and McCann, which the Yankees did, which backfired horribly. And I object to those "horrendous trades" comments.. none of those players outside of Alvarez and maybe d'Arnaud have panned out, and we were on a 100-loss pace without making huge upgrades, which would've been toxic to the ticket base. Casual fans won't wait for a team to contend or spend.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Good news: Angels lead 4-0 on a Pujols double and Kendrick double, Royals just blew a chance to tie vs. the WHite Sox in the 8th because Billy Butler stinks. Bad News: Pujols just got injured running out that double. Campana in to PR. Good thing the Angels have a huge lead in the standing and enough depth to withstand it.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 White Sox blow it. Jays 4.5/5.0 out, Mariners will be 1.5/2.0 out (getting pounded by the Angels). Stupid bullpen..
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Have the White Sox held a lead all year against anybody but the Jays? Feels like not.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 White Sox have always had a hard time in KC,so have we...glad we dont play them there anymore this season LAA7-Sea0
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 At least now Wilner will STFU and let everyone move on.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I think it's safe to stop watching the scoreboards.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I think it's safe to stop watching the scoreboards. Unfortunately, yes. Jays are finally done. They just look like they have no fight left.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 time to close this thread. too sad now. Close it, burn it, and pretend it never existed. I'm glad the players will most likely get to watch the O's celebrate to. Hopefully it will make their terrible August burn a little deeper all off season when they see what could have been.
