Concussion List

 

Starting with the 2011 season, Major League Baseball has instituted a new disabled list, a 7-day list specifically for concussions and brain damage. The idea is to prevent long-term brain damage which may take up to 7 days instead of using the full 15 days by current standards. MLB has ensured this is only for concussions, and will take steps to avoid abuse of the system.[3] If a player is not activated from the concussion DL after those 7 days have passed, he is automatically transferred to the 15-day DL.

 

I don't think it gets used often...

 

Seems kinda odd the term concussion and brain damage in the same sentence. Neither seems like a injury that only takes 7 days to heal fully or recover from. Hmmmmn interesting !

Dickey is a useless f***ing idiot anyways...this moron is supposed to be our ace? A 0-2 base hit to the no. 8 hitter, then walk the number 9? Then a basehit that scores a run that should NEVER happen in the first place? What a f***ing pig. Guy throws up two hitters galore, then comes here and looks like a complete f***ing loser who can't pitch his way out of a wet paper bag. I'm sick of watching this amateur moron and I won't be tuning in any time he pitches from here on in.

 

Sick of watching this organization settle for this kind of garbage year in and year out. With the exception of last year of course when they went for it and ended up in the basement. This club has class from top to f***ing bottom, LMAO.
