Spoonovic Verified Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Andrew Stoeten @AndrewStoeten · 8m Aaron Sanchez: fifth pro season, only just starting in AA, K% down again so far, 4.43 FIP, 4.84 BB/9, Jays fans terrified he'll get moved. He has a point doesnt he?
shortstop Verified Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 imo, no way Sanchez gets moved...the plan is he will be in the jays rotation - if not 2015 then 2016 but any major setbacks.
BabbaGanoush Verified Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 He's been working on his fastball command for the past two years. He threw nothing but fastballs his last start apparently. If he started pitching as if he was in the majors, I bet the results would be much different.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Does Stoeten want us to rush him along? He is only 21 years old, which is the youngest age of any pitcher in AA. And what Babba said, Sanchez has been throwing mostly fastballs the past 2 years, and has been told to not throw his best pitch, his curve. If he started using his curve you would see more K's for sure.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Guys! Stay calm, chill the f*** out. They're competitive walks.
43211234 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 This was always a make or break year for Sanchez. He's also posted underwhelming strikeout numbers and high walks. The high groundball rate is good but unless he can significantly improve his command over the rest of the season he risks falling down the prospect lists.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Why the f*** is Stoeten considered the gospel around here? I admit his blog used to be pretty good but ever since thescore acquisition he has been an unmitigated fanboy that likes think he is above his followers and is never, ever wrong.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Stoeten is a troll with a larger platform. Hes no better than most people on here. I never cared for his opinion . I think it's funny with people trying to predict what AA and Beeston will do when all the real fans know that those two have no clue what their doing. Most likely it will be a series of really stupid and unpredictable moves that will be explained away by injuries, bad luck, we were battling and some long pauses of awkward silence. we just have to hope that the right heads are on the chopping blocks when it comes time to chop off some heads.
Flashman Verified Member Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I think Stoeten gets some attention because he is standing on the shoulders of the Drunk Jays Fans brand. That was a three-man enterprise for most of its history, with the better content coming from Parkes and Bergkamp. I wouldn't bet on him having this platform if he'd been the sole author at DJF.

For the milionth time, he wasn't part of the acquisition. The Score's Internet properties were not part of the sale to Sportsnet.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Who remembers Oleruds daily Stoeten bashing threads? He's most definitely not the gospel. I haven't looked at djf much this year. Obviously that blog gets me riled up and angry.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 IMO Sanchez is at his highest value right now and should be moved. The results just haven't ever been there. Hahaha adorable
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 IMO Sanchez is at his highest value right now and should be moved. The results just haven't ever been there. The one time Stoeten is right and people still s*** all over him.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Guy looks like he lives under a bridge. Who cares what he thinks? He's bashed this board before. Don't give him teh time of day.
Smedley Butler Verified Member Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Stoeten just mad that the dude he banged last Saturday didn't cum in his mouth.
