G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I'm not being rhetorical, I'm honestly asking Most of us probably don't follow other teams as closely as the Blue Jays, and most of us probably feel that AA is moving players back and forth from AAA to the majors more than "normal'. We've cycled through 3 catchers, 4 MIF's, 2 OF's and 2-3 bullpen arms. We have claimed 2 guys off waivers already since the season started. Injuries notwithstanding (when you have no choice) is this normal or excessive? Do the A's, cardinals, Tigers etc do this? The bullpen I can see getting shaken up by most teams through the year because someone is failng or overworked. But what about the position players? Just curious
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 No. We have a ridiculous amount of waiver claims compared to other teams recently. Though Oakland and others sometimes goes on similar binges
Sorrow Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Oakland and Pittsburgh (the other two teams I follow) both go on binges. Oakland with OF and RP and Pittsburgh with pitchers. I'm actually hoping Pittsburgh sweeps this series, one I want them in the playoffs, two I want the Jays to do so poorly that we need to fire AA and Beeston.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 But Rogers will still be the owners. I don't think ownership is the problem. Payroll, exposure and marketing are adequate. A foolish old president and his split-personality puppet GM are the problem

Maybe the should just put it to online voting and let the cyber world decide who stays and who goes at 50 cents a vote! lol MLB survivor exiled players released or sent to the minors! 11 million votes covers the whole shot in releasing Happ bye bye!
