Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Dustin McGowan now has a 5.72 xFIP in his 22 innings. You must have missed Zaunie's pre-game analysis
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Didn't have a couple of pretty good years, or am I making that up? Decent but nothing like they wanted. Best year was 2 WAR. Others ~1. OPS almost always <.800
GoldBull Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 too cheap for a radar gun in KC? Velocity is at the top right of the pitch tracker. New format...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 But? He didn't amount to much
Convo Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 For the haters, Dusty still hitting 94
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Didn't have a couple of pretty good years, or am I making that up? 2.5 WAR season in 2009, 110 and 118 wRC+ seasons in 2009 and 2010 respectively, he was a bit old though that's why he didn't last long.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well done Dustin! Does he come out for the 7th?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Well done Dustin! Does he come out for the 7th? I say bring him in and have the pen up and ready. One runner on pull him, unless he got 2 quick outs
kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Exactly, if they put him out there for the 6th look out. Well wrong again . Has he thrown a curve at all tonite. Is he just a two pitch pitcher?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Dustin McGowan now has a 5.72 xFIP in his 22 innings. Couldn't K Infante. Calla tu boca chico inteligente!!! You're pimping your small BBDL guy
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Dustin's only allowed 1 ER....
Convo Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Dusty only 9 pitches there, maybe out for another!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 "Why do always have to throw these retarded stats at a 5 inning SS?" He's thrown 15 pitches per inning and allowed 2ER. Has he had a decent outing now?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Ofcourse McGowan would have a decent start. We were so close to Stroman! It really isn't that great of a start, he's walked a few and hasn't missed many bats.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well done Dustin! Does he come out for the 7th? Let it roll ! Let's go Dusty!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 McGowan staying high. He's out of gas.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Bollocks, that was almost fair.
Convo Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Poor Rasmus, no breaks for the slumping.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Everybody enjoys the game in different ways. For JFaS, it's advanced statistical analysis. Whatever.. Tonight's start shouldn't be dismissed by advanced stats. I still want Stroman up.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 It really isn't that great of a start, he's walked a few and hasn't missed many bats. By McGowan's standard it was decent. Good to see him pitching this deep into an outing, and if you take away the 2nd inning his outing would be really great. But the walks, the fact he can't miss bats and how he gets away from the zone after 2 strikes scares me
Convo Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Poor Rasmus, no breaks for the slumping. I happily stand corrected!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 And then the next one is, thank you baseball gods.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 D-Mac with a strong game is great news for the Jays and if Stro lovers (myself included) gave it a bit of thought...... if this staff can hold out till mid June before Stro is needed, everyone wins
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Can the bottom of the order produce some runs?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
