Jays: Morrow 98 pitches in a season-low 3 2-3 innings, giving up two runs and four hits in a 9-3 win at Minnesota. Morrow walked four batters after issuing a total of two in his first two starts. He's 0-2 in six career starts against the Indians despite a 3.86 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 37.1 innings. Morrow limited them to one run in six innings of a 3-2 loss in his only matchup last season. The Jays have slugged .404 through its first 14 contests and was tied for fifth in the majors with 17 homers, but is slugging .286 over its last four games with one home run. Cabrera has six hits in just two games this season. He has four multihit games and has at least one hit in all but one of Toronto's 18 games this season. Toronto's 5-0 victory on Saturday marked the 20th all-time shutout the Blue Jays have had over the Indians. Indians: Carlos Carrasco yielded five runs over 4.2 innings his last time out in a 9-6 loss to the White Sox on April 11. The Blue Jays knocked him around for five runs and seven hits in just three innings in Cleveland's 7-1 loss July 10, 2011, in his only start against them. The Indians have left 19 men on base through the first two games of this series. On the year, Cleveland is hitting just .208 (32-for-154) with runners in scoring position. Cleveland has been held to four runs or less in all but two of the club's past 16 games against the Blue Jays, dating back to 2011. The Indians have a 6-10 record over that same span of games. jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 As always, great job. Hopefully we get our first sweep of the season today.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 This looks like a game in which the Jays will have to score a ton of runs to win. Cleveland has a good offense with tons of LHH and Morrow might be the perfect pitcher to bust out against.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 So the Jays already have as many wins this season as they had in all of April last season with 10 days left in the month.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 LETS GO BLUE JAYS!!! sweep would be a nice Easter gift to Jays fans!

Ash70 Verified Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Morrow better not throw 60 pitches in the first 2 innings..... Yup, my thoughts too. Need our starters to get as close to the 7th, as often as possible. Otherwise I fear or the health of our bullpen.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 LETS GO FOR THE SWEEP! Do we get good or bad morrow today?

HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I'm still disappointed the Raptors lost yesterday, so this game loses a bit of interest from me.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Interesting that Thole is playing today, for the lefty? I sometimes think Buck is running this team, yesterday he said on the air they should rest Navarro and let Thole play and there you have it.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Raps will win Game 2 no worries
