This team is very dependant on one or both of Morrow and Dickey having good years. If they both suck we're in big trouble. I don't think they will, but they both make me nervous every start.

I know you can't see this, but this is the dumbest thing I've seen in awhile. He's made good pitches, that's why he hasn't given up HRs. All fly balls aren't equal just like all pitches aren't equal in regards to quality of contact.

That's not what JFaS is saying, though. Did you even read his post? He's saying he's gotten lucky to have an ERA sub-1, but he's been very good, just closer to 3.5. Good pitchers can be lucky. It's not taking anything away from them.

I agree he hasn't been sub 1 ERA good. He's gotten some unbelievable defence, especially in that Baltimore game. I just don't agree with pinning his success on numbers and stats. My argument is those numbers tell only some of the story... Not the whole damn thing.

Both are die hard jays fans, but both are too busy. Rajai davis gave one of my girls an autographed ball last time we were in seattle. My oldest grand said to him, "but i have a sister and he went and got her another ball and signed it for her.

 

He became my favourite just for that.

Buck Martinez when he managed the team did something similar. A blind friend of mine wanted some autographs and Buck quietly made it happen. He called in the players who weren't out there signing. He earned my respect as a person. I think that counts for something.
