Convo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Dickey only pitches well, if he's at 38.4 longetitude and the weather is 21.8 degrees or warmer, and it's a Sunday, not any sunday. But the 2nd sunday of every odd month. You forgot humidex and air pressure.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Who cares what his salary is. It's already on the books. All that matters are good performances and this is his fourth in a row. If he hangs on for the win, 4 of the 10 Jays wins would belong to MB.[/QUOT i care very much how much we pay him . If we are out of it in July he will be the one of the guys to deal . How well he is pitching will determine how much we eat . Rogers is obviously at their limit budget wise

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 You forgot humidex and air pressure. And days from last manicure
xposbrad Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 You forgot humidex and air pressure. Ah yes, that is true. It's kind of sad that we've come up with some really odd excuses on his pitching performance. From indoors, to the distance from the ocean, to the weather. I mean, if he was this constrained on how he could pitch, wtf did AA even trade for him? lol

Convo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 How is it a good turn if he throws it in the dirt Buck?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 nice feed from Lawrie and a good pick by Ed. come on Offense!!!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 lol gloved yet another. madness. He really relaxes his body after releasing the ball, so rather than making wild stabs at comebackers while being amped up, he calmly snags them. Really smooth to watch.

How well he is pitching will determine how much we eat . Rogers is obviously at their limit budget wise I get it, but people bring up his salary every time he pitches. The Marlins were idiots for signing MB to a contract beyond his value and the Jays were even bigger idiots for trading for that contract. MB contract isn't a fair reflection of his true worth. Unless he pitches at a CY young calibre season, we're not getting much if anything back for him. Also as for Rogers being at their limit, there is no reason to think they will reinvest any savings back into this team after a head scratching offseason.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I expect Dickey to get better as the weather warms up. Dickey will be fine . I expect all our rotation to improve over time with health . Except Buehrle of course ! Hard to improve what he has been doing

I imagine the future of this franchise depends on what we do in the next 2-3 months.

What I,m saying is right now MB is worth every penny . he is pitching that good .
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I imagine the future of this franchise depends on what we do in the next 2-3 months. That is a fair statement. If this team is out of it a fire sale SHOULD be in order, but I doubt AA concedes the season this year, maybe in the winter.
