This is what I hate about Gibbons and most managers in general. If he's at 90 pitches he's probably allowed to continue. But since he hits that mystical 100 pitch mark he's done.

 

Let the kid try to get out of it. Learning experience. He was still pitching very well. He's not tired. The velocity is still there.

Delabar did a good job getting out of it but he's still been erratic this year. Hutch probably gives us an equally good chance of getting out of it and he also has a fantastic learning experience in the process.

I agree 1000000000% with this. I hate this floating pitch count limit. Gibbons treats it like a rule. Holy crap it's annoying the crap out of me, he's not even letting Buehrle hit 100, it's easily one of Gibbons' biggest flaws
