Jays: Dickey has been roughed up in two of his three starts, including Thursday's 6-4 loss to Houston in which he allowed five runs on six hits in seven innings. He allowed two home runs to the Astros, something that hurt him last season when he surrendered 35, the second most in the majors. Casey Janssen and Jose Reyes both played for Class A Dunedin on rehab assignments Tuesday. Reyes could rejoin the Jays Friday at Cleveland, but Janssen is a little behind him. The Jays seek their third straight win after scoring 20 runs on 31 hits in their last two games with Jose Bautista, Adam Lind and Edwin Encarnacion combining for a 14-for-23 mark in the middle of the order. Melky Cabrera extended his hitting streak to 14 games, a franchise record to begin a season, with his leadoff single in the first inning of Tuesday's game. Twins: The Twinkies have lost 21 of 26 to Toronto and 18 of 22 home matchups since the beginning of the 2008 season. The Twins were swept in three games during the only visit from the Blue Jays last season Sept. 6-8 and dropped five of six overall meetings lololol Pelfrey allowed six runs and nine hits in five innings of a 6-1 loss to Oakland on Thursday, dropping him to 0-5 with a 7.58 ERA in his last six starts. The first of those was a loss to Toronto on Sept. 6. He went 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA against the Blue Jays last season. This season, he's allowed four homers in two games. Joe Mauer has reached base safely in each of his last 14 games against the Blue Jays after lacing an RBI single in the third inning of Tuesday's game. The streak dates back to Oct. 3, 2010. The Twins entered Wednesday leading the AL in walks (59), while ranking second in on-base percentage (.340) and third in runs scored (67). Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 When was the last double header we had? I don't have a good feeling about RA today.

JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 First month of the season and we already have a lineup with Kawasaki, Goins, Sierra, and Thole in it.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Why you go with Bautista in CF and Sierra in RF with Gose on the roster is beyond me. They almost got burned by it in the first game, and I can see it happening again.

Gose is only eligible to play in the 2nd game as a 26th man double header callup Again, they should have just added him to the roster and demoted somebody else or put Lind on the DL

Just put Badbackabus Lind on the DL and makes sure we can put someone who can play CF into the game

You are correct that he shouldve been added to the roster with Rasmus ailing. Roster construction continues to be ridiculous.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 if the first game is fast enough I might be able to get it watched on delay before the second one starts. just have to FF through commercials and Gibbons wandering around hoping he can lose another challenge.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 another year of the jays playing with an 8 man pen, with 2 walking wounded and their insignificant other on the bench.
Flamingweazel Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 The bottom of the Jays lineup is terrible. Why is sierra still on the roster?

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 1-Melky hit 2-Kawasaki bunt Gibbons is a genius
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I've been asking this 5 times a day AA loves fringe negative value players. AA has serious separation issues and needs to see a professional of some kind.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 1-Melky hit 2-Kawasaki bunt Gibbons is a genius Melky is all over that plan. he's going to lead off with a HR and put an end to the stupidity.
Flamingweazel Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 On another note, these are the types of games your "ACE" needs to win, it's time for dickey to start stepping up, he failed last time against a weak houston team.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 1-Melky hit 2-Kawasaki bunt Gibbons is a genius I'll throw something at my computer if gibbons bunts with Pelfrey pitching.

flafson Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Why should they put Lind on the DL? There is no real source saying it's bad. The only "source" that said something said his facial expression looked troublesome after he played. We don't know if it's 1 game or 5 games or 30 games.

Lind himself said "it would be a miracle if im good to go by Thursday", giving the impression that the injury is significant enough to warrant a DL stint. He also has apparently been playing through soreness for several games already. Also, last time he hurt his back he missed a month.

It's been a lingering issue. If he's not willing to dismiss the injury, we probably shouldn't either.
