You think you're still going to be in it after my prospect team wipes the floor with you this week? :)

Looking over your roster... I'm surprised you're at 0.500.

I shouldn't be this year (which is actually kind of pissing me off, since right now the high draft pick is probably more valuable to my team). I've been insanely lucky, but who's to say it won't last a few more weeks? I AM actually within striking distance of the last playoff spot.

I know. I'm really hoping for a win this week.

I'm surprised I'm close to a playoff spot considering how my team started the year (and trading away Patches).

Wish I could disallow but done

Trade is fair. Galchenyuk is a monster, Ryan Murray is a recent 2nd overall pick, and I got a bunch of old guys approaching retirement.

It's not like jaysblue to get R'ed so hard.

Yeah the Sedin's have been OTB forever and I didn't receive any interest from anyone other than Spanky and I'm the one who went to BTS since he inquired about them back in December. There didn't seem like a huge market for them unfortunately and my preference was getting a young top NHL forward vs. prospects. Alex Galchenyuk is only 21 and is having a strong season with the Habs. BTS actually drafted him in the 5th round this past fall, where I drafted the Sedin's in the 4th and 6th. As for Kronwall, I offered him up because BTS originally didn't want to part with Galchenyuk at first. Probably should have offered a lesser defensemen first, though whatever. I definitely lose this deal now, though I'm hoping this deal helps me in the next year or two. Face it, my team wasn't going anywhere this season. I really like my core now moving forward with Toews, Landeskog, Duchene, Tatar, Galchenyuk, Beleskey and my defensive core of Faulk, Myers, Murray, Scandella. Plus, I have a ton of solid picks in the early rounds, so I'll be able to continue replenishing my farm system with younger talent. Fantasy Hockey isn't one of my strengths like baseball, so I was bound to make a bad move for once :P

Don't forget Ryan Murray. His value is down because he's been out of the lineup, but he has #1 D-man upside.

Quality post-TR opposition defense. Pure class, as is to be expected from a True Red Wing.

Still TR, though.

Agreed. I can afford to be patient with him. He's also only 21 and he had a nice rookie season last year. You drafted him in the 12th round I believe, and I took Kronwall back in the 8th.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Murray outperforms Kronwall and Gally outperforms the Sedins starting next year. Then obviously for the next decade.

I can see what kind of week it's going to be for my goaltending...

Pretty happy about this. Especially with Kevin Klein leading the charge!

Fasth was injured multiple times in tonights Jets/Oilers game. Had to leave in the shootout after getting deked out of his shorts by Wheeler. Said to be a knee injury.

Does not bode well for Spanky.

before we get too close to it, I thought I would table a change to the prospect draft rules. Anyone interested in now having 'extra' picks dissolved prior to the draft? This leaves picks trade-able mid-draft and prospects drop-able mid-draft (if you like someone on the board better than a prospect in your system). I don't care too much either way, but we should have the discussion. It adds a bit of interest to the draft to have picks trade-able during (like the NFL draft).

Ya, I'd be fine with this.

I also moved the trade deadline forward a week so that it doesn't fall on the 1st week of playoffs.

We'd have to discuss what to do with the prospects that are dropped mid draft. I figure they should go back into the pool and be able to be drafted that same draft.

You'd also have to make this move/announcement before your turn comes up. Don't want to have people using their whole window to try to decide if they wanna drop a prospect for another one. So as soon as the pick comes up, if you don't have an empty spot, the pick would disappear.

One thing we're doing in the BBDL is that as soon as your turn comes up, if you don't have an empty prospect slot your worst pick evaporates and the window moves to the next guy. That means the draft still moves along without getting hung up at all, but the pick you had can still be traded.

Okay. This would work. But if the pick you're on is your worst pick does that mean that one evaporates?
