Jays: Buehrle got his season off to an outstanding start April 2, striking out 11 while yielding four hits in 8 2-3 innings of a 3-0 win at Tampa Bay. Buehrle followed that up six days later by battling through 5 1-3 innings, allowing one run while scattering eight hits in a 5-2 win over Houston. However he owns an 8.16 ERA while losing three straight starts to Baltimore, two of which came there while surrendering 11 runs and four homers in 9.1 innings. Melky Cabrera is trying to become the first member of the Jays to open a season with a 13-game hitting streak since Joe Carter's 16-game run to start 1992. He is batting .327 after going 2 for 6 on Saturday and hitting .323 with a .508 slugging percentage in 16 visits to Camden Yards. Colby Rasmus homered in the top of the ninth on Saturday night, upping the Blue Jays' Majors-leading total of April and May home runs since the beginning of last season to 48. The center fielder is 11/28 (.393) with five doubles, three homers, five RBIs and six runs over his past seven meetings with the Orioles. Orioles: Jimenez is 2-1 with a 4.61 ERA in five career starts versus Toronto, but he allowed one run in 12 innings while going 1-0 in two starts with Cleveland last year. The right-hander gave up four runs and eight hits with five walks while getting pulled with two outs in the fifth of a 4-2 road defeat to the New York Yankees. Steve Lombardozzi is giving the Orioles some punch at the plate, going 6 for 17 in his last four games. He came up big Saturday, connecting for a triple before scoring on David Lough's hit in the 12th inning. After finishing 29-9 in one-run games in 2012, Baltimore went 20-31 in games decided by one run in 2013. The Orioles are 3-2 in one-run games so far in 2014. P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Thank you! Thanks for always participating too I think people are starting to really take these for granted (including myself), but if you take a step back you can really appreciate how aesthetically pleasing they are. Just wanted you to know, as I know it's a lot of work. I'm sure you have a template now that you save, but it's still a fair amount to update for every game.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I'm liking Lind hitting in between Bautista and EE, until EE gets going of course.

I enjoyed the ones on the old forum, but he's certainly stepped up his game on this one! It's convenient to see all the stats and info in one place. Thank you guys for this! It's the least I can do to contribute to this place, I'm always happy making these GDTs for you guys
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Changes to the lineup, EE --------> 1B and Lind -------------> DH
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 EE hitting 5th. Hm. Ideally, it's probably Cabrera-Rasmus-EE-Bautista-Lind but eh. Lind in the cleanup spot versus a righty is nice.
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 This offense is do for a break out, please be today
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 EE hitting 5th. Hm. Until he busts his slump, it's probably not a bad idea to move him down the lineup. His timing is clearly off.
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Good move putting EE in the 5th spot and DH.
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 It's too bad the discussion in GDTs is rarely the same quality as the opening post.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 really like the lineup shake. izturis is back to midseason form and deserved to be moved down. only thing i would really change is diaz > goins
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Good move putting EE in the 5th spot and DH. That was changed, EE is playing 1b and Lind DH. I think it's the right move because if Gibbons pinch-hits for Lind later on in the game, he doesn't have to worry about Sierra or Kratz playing 1b.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 It's too bad the discussion in GDTs is rarely the same quality as the opening post. You stole my line
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 This offense is do for a break out, please be today On the other hand, so is the Orioles' offense. Plus, Buehrle might be due for a stinker...let's hope they win 8-7 or something like that.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Guys if like a close soccer match, turn to Sportsnet Ontario! 1-0 Chelsea through '77 minutes, game ends before the Jays game starts!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Swansea down to 10 men and second half possession has been 80/20 in favour of Chelsea. Game ovah.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Swansea down to 10 men and second half possession has been 80/20 in favour of Chelsea. Game ovah. Chelsea's playing like trash on the road as usual. Thank god for Demba Ba/Michael Vrom lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I forget your name...it was gonorrhoea dick or something, right? e: low quality posting passes the time until first pitch! Yes.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Well 1-0 Chelsea final! 1 out of 2 of my favourite Blue teams win today <3 LETS GO BLUE JAYS
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Sort of random, but I was thinking someone should do a Board Meme Power Ranking just like on the old board. It was really fun back then and provided many lol's. Obvious candidates are #Top10LF and the recent classic of one word posts being insulting to ECJF.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Really nice job with these GDTs, Fatcow. Absolutely Amazing he gets this done for every single game. Kudos.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Absolutely Amazing he gets this done for every single game. Kudos. Thank you sir! lol according to Barry Davis only Izzy, Melky and Goins came out for the extra BP session at Camden Yards. He is, however, claiming that some are in the clubhouse batting cages working with Seitzer...
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 What did Zaun say? He kept quiet, he's doing Zaun 101 right now lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I love the wonderbread commercials lol reminds me of something I'd do to my brother
