air canada and air france have really small seats as well. most of my flights are long ones and I hate being cramped into a small place, but cant afford anything but coach so it's the way I roll.

 

If I had to choose between Air Canada and WestJet I would choose Air Canada 100% of the time. Their coach is fine. Good movie selection. Decent leg room. Food is ... meh. Not a great experience but not that bad either (maybe you were on a smaller plane, not sure).

Never fly Air China (or any Chinese airline) if you feel this way about Westjet...

 

I flew Air China last year. Not a pleasant experience. Quite disgusting actually. Dirty and clearly safety standards aren't followed.

 

I also took a f***ing train from Beijing to Shanghai and back.

Wasn't that Malaysia? *shrug* I dunno... All I know is that I've flown Chinese airlines 6 times, and they are not built for people my size, and I'm pretty much exactly average height for a white dude.

777 is a great plane! Been on them lots of times. 787 is even nicer... they are 2 of the safest planes ever built.

 

it's not the planes fault. it's the airlines and whoever took it over. airlines could have had a constant tracker and most do, but it costs extra so they didn't. whoever took the plan most likely knew and that's why that airlines was targeted

They have s***** planes. Can't expect them to put out good ads. I will never fly WestJet again. Literally zero leg room on every flight I've ever flown with them.

 

I've flown on a few airlines, but only Air Canada in Canada... my experience has been 'meh' at most
