I flew Air China last year. Not a pleasant experience. Quite disgusting actually. Dirty and clearly safety standards aren't followed.

 

I also took a f***ing train from Beijing to Shanghai and back.

Yeah, they definitely don't follow the typical western rules for a lot of things, that's for sure... I didn't find them to be dirty, and I actually liked the food more than on most flights I've taken with Canadian airlines... plus, the beer was free (but not very good...)
