Does that mean you would think Rasmus was a bad fielder if you didn't have statistics to reference? I've always been pleased with his routes and actions. I think he's above average, but not great.

I'd agree with that in the past. So far this year not as much. he's either extremely unlucky, not getting a good read or carrying an injury. he has not made plays going forward or going back. He's been playing a little shallower than what he has in the past. that should help him coming forward, but he's had several balls drop in front and he's made some bad decisions on when to lay back and when to go for it. something is not right.... he's been better than that and he really shouldn't lose that much in such a short span.

that's just my eye's view....

What are you guys arguing about

Since you clearly don't have the time to read I'll summarize it for you:

They said Halladay was bad, we came to his defense.

Imagine taking a non-baseball fan to that game to introduce the game to them.

Some of the most dull, uninteresting s*** I've ever watched in my life.

Such a pathetic effort for a home opener

I've got an English degree with honours that suggests otherwise. But thanks.

You see, you're using a fact - like a statistic. But my eyes tell me you don't have reading comprehension.

Rasmus has a 10+ UZR, a fact - like a statistic. But some peoples eyes tell them that he's slow and is better in LF.

lol oh the double standards

Bad in what sense? Throwing out the first pitch tonight? He's a f***ing HOFer!

Protip: Bragging about degrees on this board is going to make people dislike you really really quickly because of another member who did that.

ECJF, are you guys planning more meetups down the season? I might not be able to show up tomorrow because of Parents

I have no idea. We're meeting at Gate 5 before the game tomorrow and then whatever happens, happens. I'll text you anyways?

It's hard to comprehend, something about him being a quitter on the team and us just being "bandwagon fans" for defending him or some s***.

I've attended probably like 20 Raptors games this year and let me tell you. The Raps should be the team that this city gets behind right now. They're f***ing legit. They FIGHT, scratch, and claw for everything. That team is hungry as s***. I dunno WTF happened after the Rudy Gay trade but that team is on a f***ing mission.

It's pointless to waste your energy for the forseeable future being a die hard for the Jays. Jump on the Raps bandwagon ASAP.

I'd probably punch a person straight in the throat if they tried to tell me Doc was s*** to my face.

Quote me saying anything about Rasmus. And my reading comprehension is bad?

Look, I'm not even disagreeing with you that the Yanks had some cheap hits. They did. However, when the ball is consistently up, you increase your chances at getting the ball through. It is that simple. There is no Saber stat that will change that.

My other argument is that this team is very average at best. No amount of luck will change that. End of story.

But they seriously believe there is

I hear you. That's the type of team you want to get behind.

TFC too!! They just need the passion the Raps have and they're good.

Oh but Defoe's out for the next game at least

Leaving the ball up leads to an increase in home runs, but also swinging strikes. It's a good trade off if you can get away with it, but generally not a great strategy.

McGowan didn't give up all those hits because he left the ball up though. That was simply bad BABIP luck.

What is it exactly that you disagree about? I'm not seeing much in the way of discussion points from you, only personal attacks.

Bro, he's got an English degree which means you're wrong.

I hate it when people bring up their diploma/certificate as proof of anything. He clearly did not grasp what I was getting at. I know some complete retards who graduated university, a degree doesn't mean anything.

no, you're saying he's a bad CF and should be moved. I'm not making that leap. it's only 5 games and I dont know what is wrong, just that he is not looking right so far.
