GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 my oldest daughter graduates from law school this summer. :-) sweden has a lot of the cutting edge tech and green research groups in the world. Sweden's pretty f***in' awesome from what I hear. Pipe dream of mine to see the CERN LHC. We were doing trivia in science, a gifted science class, and only 3 kids knew where the LHC was including me. That's just not right
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 might as well add the yellow and red cards from soccer while you're at it. lol That would be awesome!! Instead of pointing to a pitcher for a warning, or when a manager is pushing it with the yelling pull out a yellow! Their reactions would be PRICELESS. *Gibbons yelling s*** at the ump* *Ump pulls out yellow* "WHO THE f*** DO YOU THINK YOU'RE SHOWING YELLOW TOO YOU f***ING PIECE OF s***??? STICK THAT UP YOUR-" *Ump pulls out 2nd yellow, red card* "AW f*** YOU YOU PIECE OF f***"

You guys need computer science positions by any chance? lol you can live anywhere with computer science. if you are good enough there will always be work. not sure how hard it is to move here. I married a swede so it was easy. lol nice place to visit. lots of history.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm with you on this. Iraq had the same aspect of allowing kids to have the highest education possible under the Saddam Era. Because of this, there was a lot of Iraqis getting hired for high engineering and doctorate positions in Britain and parts of Europe as well as having the best reputation in the Middle East, especially throughout the 80s. Too bad it's not the same anymore Cuba does this as well, but I'm not a fan of insane dictators. Venezuela did this as well, but Chavez was a little wacko himself, but at least he was democratically elected.

Just need more theory tweaking and more efficient approaches. I'm confident that uni + more practice will help me perfect those things

GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I coulda sworn they put it in around the swiss-french border somewhere. "The LHC tunnel is located 100 metres underground, in the region between the Geneva International Airport and the nearby Jura mountains."

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Could be worse, in the States they probably don't even know they're in Science class That's a good point! Cuba does this as well, but I'm not a fan of insane dictators. Venezuela did this as well, but Chavez was a little wacko himself, but at least he was democratically elected. Saddam isn't as crazy with his people. Iran/Iraq tensions were always there and America was pushing for a conflict, knowing that we had the stronger military at the time and that they hate Iran. Kuwait was his biggest mistake because it shows what measures a Dictator goes if he's publicly insulted in a gathering. Other than that, security was on point, taxes wasn't too high, stable economy, lots of oil was actually running through the country, free high education with (at that time) advanced internship programs. Women were allowed to walk near/past midnight and not get harassed, and houses locks were left open (in non poor places), that's how safe it was. Baghdad was developed as hell, as well as several other cities getting built in time, and Jordan's biggest university was actually a Saddam creation too lol
