Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Did anyone expect that lineup? Pretty much. When Kratz was called up I knew Lind would be on the Bench. Righties against Price is what you need. Only thing I would have done differently is switch Navarro and Lawrie.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Agreed. I don't have issue with them giving Lind another chance against average lefties, but Price isn't the one to test the waters on. Plus Gibby knows that rightly or wrongly, his ass could be on the line if they have another disastrous April. He's in it to win it. Not f***ing around.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Did anyone expect that lineup? I actually expected this. My dream lineup would be leaving Goins in there (imo Goins glove >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Izzy bat vs. LHP) and putting Kratz as a catcher. Before the Kratz callup I was 110% sure we'd see Sierra DHing, but now we have 3 catchers lol

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 For anyone with cable / sat, MLB extra innings has a free preview until April 6th.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Anyone else thinks Jeffres will get sent down before Kratz?

He's in it to win it. Not f***ing around. Gibbons knows how to use platoons. If AA gives him the opportunity, Gibby will succeed. I was really impressed with his managing, especially his move to put Bautista #2 when Melky was DL'd, he's really smart in lineup shuffles and reliever matching
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 The nice thing about Lind though is his approach throughout ST has been pretty impressive, especially against lefties. Let's hope Lind at least an opportunity to go after some lesser-quality southpaws.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That lineup isn't that scary.. screw personal catchers.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Nah, Ang has a donkey, not a Rolls?! wife and 4-legged vehicle. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PyMQsFcP_K4/TijwIMAqqqI/AAAAAAAAZ8k/40X2lQEAvwY/s1600/1-YO+QUISIERA+MI+VIDA+SER+BURRO+DE+CARGA.jpg
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I will now admit I didn't know Navarro is a switch hitter. holding your shift key down too long was yesterdays lesson. wonder what you will learn tomorrow. lol you joining me for a celebratory whiskey?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 For anyone with cable / sat, MLB extra innings has a free preview until April 6th. Do you know what channel that is on Rogers?? Thank you! Anyone else thinks Jeffres will get sent down before Kratz? If Kratz does well against lefties and/or Jeffress blows up, then yes. AA chose to keep Jeffress and drop Kratz first time around

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Did anyone expect that lineup? bringing Kratz up let this happen. Navarro couldn't DH if there wasn't another catcher on the bench. I'll bet Gibbons ask for Kratz specifically to be able to do this. glad they didn't throw Goins into this one, but expect him in as soon as price is gone.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Maybe. kinda early here man. LOL I'm going to oven bake some wings and have myself a nice sip of a single malt. not sure if you drink rum, have you tried Plantation aged rum? it's brilliantly good.

Caper Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Looks like we have some new posters joining for the start of the season. Nice! No recruiting!

Yeah we mentioned it a few weeks ago. I got a bottle for my birthday last year. LOVE it. I'll have one if they win. Cheers. Supper is whatever the wife is cooking.

AA chose to keep Jeffress and drop Kratz first time around Yeah but I think Jeffress making the team is just AA being strategic about when to try to sneak him through to the minors. I think he gets sent down early just like last season.

flafson Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Too bad Goins isn't on the field. If things don't work out for Dickey, we are going to need all the defense we can get...
