fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) I'll try to keep s*** updated as we go along Edit: @Wilnerness590 AA says Janssen could have missed only 5-6 days, but they wanted to make sure it was resolved completely. #Bluejays #Jays @Wilnerness590 AA: "Janssen said he felt ok, but warming up felt something grab on his lower back...MRI done today, showed mild strain." #Bluejays #Jays Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis He will throw on flat ground for now. Cannot throw off a mound while healing the lower back/ab strain. #bluejays Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 AA: Kratz deserved to make team, another RH bat, could be times against tough lefty we could DH Navarro. #Bluejays #Jays Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis Sergio Santos will be the closer until Janssen returns. McGowan threw about 75 pitches and feels good. "So far so good" says AA. #bluejays Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis McGowan should be good for between 85-90 pitches in the home opener Friday. #bluejays Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 AA: McGowan expected to be ready, but we'll see how he feels tomorrow and the next day. Don't expect any problems. #Bluejays #Jays Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 AA was clear that the Kratz call-up may only be for a few days, the roster is always subject to change. #Bluejays #Jays Edited March 30, 2014 by fatcowxlive
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590: AA: "Janssen said he felt ok, but warming up felt something grab on his lower back...MRI done today, showed mild strain." Janssen to DL
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 How do you guys get tweet #s to embed tweets?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Janssen to DL, Santos will close. McGowan threw 77 pitches, feels good.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 @Wilnerness590: AA: McGowan threw 77 pitches, looked fine, felt good, got his work in. Expect him to be good to go for Apr.4. #Bluejays #Jays
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Kratz will be with the team on opening day
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 How do you guys get tweet #s to embed tweets? Depends on device. In a web browser on Twitter I click on embed tweet and get number from there On iPad/iPhone app click on the tweet first then press the ... then "copy link to tweet" On Android phone app I click on share tweet via text and copy it from there There should be an easier way. Especially from a web browser. Maybe there is?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 How do you guys get tweet #s to embed tweets? OK so for example you have a tweet link like so https://twitter.com/Wilnerness590/status/450365840416731136. You need to take the #s after the /status/ (for example here it would be 450365840416731136) and squish them in this embed code (tweet)450365840416731136(/tweet) except you replace the round brackets with square brackets []
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 @LottOnBaseball: AA: Called up Kratz to add RH bat off bench with #BlueJays facing three LHP in first 7G. Roster could change again “3 or 4 days in."
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Well Kratz should catch Dickey tomorrow and hit against Price, yes???
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Well Kratz should catch Dickey tomorrow and hit against Price, yes??? Should but most likely Thole is catching, Lind is bench and Kratz is DH
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Should but most likely Thole is catching, Lind is bench and Kratz is DH Oh, that works too
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Navarro DH. Navarro is really just a RHB in disguise. I thought Kratz > Navarro vs LHP? I'm saying if Gibbons and AA want Thole to catch 100% Kratz should DH, unless of course, I'm missing something
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Against LHP the order goes: Navarro Kratz Sierra Lind Thole Against RHP it goes: Lind Navarro Thole Kratz Sierra BUT: Kratz should be catching whenever possible. Best case against RHP is Kratz catching and Navarro DH. Ah I see, thanks! So in AA's case though with Dickey on the mound, it's most likely Thole catching and Navarro DH then lol
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 So the lineup tomorrow is most likely: Reyes Melky Jose Edwin Lawrie Navarro Rasmus Thole Goins Meh. It would look better with Kratz in there: Reyes Melky Jose Edwin Lawrie Navarro Kratz Rasmus Goins
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Three lefties in a row? Cobb is a righthander
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 No I meant in the batting order. Rasmus Thole and Goins.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 But we're facing Price... lol He asked if the jays are facing three straight lefthanded starters edit: just seen your post, my bad
aselvana Verified Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 good to hear dusty is set for home opener, dont have to return my fake muttonchops that i got for the game
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Reyes SS Cabrera LF Bautista RF Encarnacion 1B Lawrie 3B Sierra DH Rasmus CF Thole C Izturis 2B
Brenner Verified Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Where is our starting second basemen Goins?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Three lefties in a row? Yes. They are all going to suck against Price, so why not have them as low in the order as possible. I don't think it makes sense to have Rasmus hit 6th just to split up the lefties.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Reyes SS Cabrera LF Bautista RF Encarnacion 1B Lawrie 3B Sierra DH Rasmus CF Thole C Izturis 2B f*** that, we need Goins' defense.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Eww Where is our starting second basemen Goins? I know the Jays/FO/Manager very well. That will be the lineup for tomorrow.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 When will they release the starting lineup? Not till tmrw?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 When will they release the starting lineup? Not till tmrw? yep. my gdt is ready too, I'm just waiting on the lineup and I'll post it early tomorrow
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 yep. my gdt is ready too, I'm just waiting on the lineup and I'll post it early tomorrow Oh Fatcow, you are always so prepared.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Oh Fatcow, you are always so prepared. Minus the time he f***ed up the winning streak.
