AA hires ninja pivate eye and gets compromising pictures of Seattle's GM.

Uses that, as leverage, to get Franklin for J.A. Happ and a bag of balls.

- Dioner Navarro almost makes the All-Star Team, is a 3.5-win player. Better than Yan Gomes.

Had to throw in something BOLD!!! LOL.

Though I do see it as possible but for like a game or two and then a DFA and another call up.

I don't think that's bold at all. It's a near certainty, IMO.

This is a guy who relied on Ramon Ortiz to give them innings and only stopped because he got injured.

Lawrie gets more than 600 PA's...but at a sub 100 wRC+, not all that bold but I'll throw an arrest in there too.

Jays are the biggest buyer at the trade deadline

Mark Buehrle has his first season ending prior to the All-Star break

AA is called a genius by the media

Jays win 40 games through 70 games...then another 40 through their last 92.

Miguel Castro is the biggest helium prospect in all of baseball despite 5 BB/9

This is the boldest prediction so far.

Dustin McGowan does make the rotation and throws 150 innings before his arm literally detaches in his delivery, whacking Dustin Pedroia in the head with the bloody stump.

This honestly had me LOL.

- Jays start the season weakly, but then regroup and are within 3 games of the wildcard until almost the last day of the regular season

- Jays pick up Shark at the trade deadline for Gose and a B+ pitching prospect

- Rasmus is signed to a HUGE deal mid-season

- MB defies all odds and predictions and make the all star team

- Dickey's season ending ERA is 2.99

Are you sure?

Dickey, Buehrle will be mediocre again; Morrow hurt; Redmond, Happ and Rogers are s***; McGowan is McGowan.

Hutchison is our best starter right now.

Dickey's numbers correlated with his velocity last year. When he played through injury at the beginning of the year and his velocity was down, his ERA was up...as he got healthy and his velocity improved his ERA droped. His post all start ERA was 3.56. His ERA after the first two months was 3.72. If he posts those kind of numbers and Buehle chimes in around a 4 ERA with Hutch being the big surprise being a 3.2 ERA those are 3 pretty good starters. The rotation only needs to put up a 3.9 ERA to be in the playoff hunt. That gives a lot of room for Morrow, McGowan, Rogers, Redmond, Happ to piece together a 4.4ish ERA in the 4 and 5 spots. If McGowan is McGowan...what exactly is he..lol.

Macier is cut or traded (with jays paying salary) in the next week.

Rogers or Redmond are traded in the next week in a bigger deal involving a 2nd basemen.

Goins is sent to AAA to play short again for when Reyes goes down.

JP arencebia plays max of 30 games this year in majors.

Morrow is absolute garbage while McGowan and hutch are our best starters.

Sanchez season pushes him into a top 10 prospect rating while syndergard requires shoulder surgery.

AA is praised by US media for standing pat as jays make the playoffs...despite 2 small deals about to happen at end of spring.

This team has to capability of being very good

They will live and die by the starting rotation performance and the health of Reyes/Lawrie/Cabrera/Bautista.

Colby rasmus steals a base this season.

Steve delabar strikes out 95 batters.

Chris getz accumulates the most WAR at 2b.

Brandon morrow pitches 160 innings.

Ricky Romero walks 50 in 100 AAA innings, is released, and is never seen again.

Kawasaki does something funny during a Reyes dl stint.

Moises Sierra passes someone on the bases and doesn't understand why he's out.

The Jays will battle the Stros for worst record in the AL.

why the change of heart. You seem to be getting more optimistic. Perhaps it's because Hutch is now in the rotation. The old Moogy would have said the Jays will have a worse record than the Stros and have the worst record in the AL.....not they will battle the Stros for the worst record in the AL.

It's good to see you still able to post. I thought that, perhaps, being run over by the Ricky Romero bandwagon may have left some debilitating injuries. I see there's a bit of dain bramage, but at least you're still functioning at a normal homer level. So you've got that going for you, which is nice.

In reality, I think the Jays will settle comfortably into that lower level above the Stros, and Twins, as a non-contender ... with teams like the ChiSox. It's getting a bit trickier to predict who will be down there with them, as a bunch of those teams have appeared to up their game this offseason. But this is the bold prediction thread, so I predicted a boldly lesser performance than their realistic non-contending performance.

yes, I'm part of the "special" fans group....but it comes with free lollipops and visits from jose bautista on off days...it' s not as bad as you might think.

Blue Jays predictions:

- RA Dickey throws a perfect game

- Drew Hutchison has the second best WAR in the Jays rotation

- Brandon Morrow doesn't make more than 15 starts

- Marcus Stroman called up in May; Aaron Sanchez called up in July/beginning of August

- Blue Jays trade for Asdrubal Cabrera to play 2B, since Ryan Goins is hitting below .200

- Colby Rasmus hits 30 HR's and posts a 6 WAR

- Brett Lawrie hits 50 doubles

- Dioner Navarro loses his job in June, and the Jays claim John Buck off waivers from the Mariners

- Jose Reyes steals 50 bases

- Jose Bautista finishes in top 5 for AL MVP

- Blue Jays sign Erik Bedard after he is released by the Rays

- Spanky's team wins the DDL championship

- Gibbers becomes nicer towards casual baseball fans and trades all his young players for veterans in their 30's to make a push at the DDL championship.

Bedard wouldn't be a bad signing atm. Assuming he'd take a minor league deal.

Yeah, I just don't see the Jays trading for someone like Shark since it likely would have already happened. I see the Jays signing a guy for cheap like Bedard hoping they catch lightning in a bottle. I actually would love Bedard as the No. 5 starter - he could provide decent value and is better than rolling with Happ, Rogers, Redmond etc.

And he's Canadian. ;)

Bautista, Lawrie, Reyes, Rasmus all play 150 or more games this year. If this happens, this team contends. I don't believe it will happen but I sure hope it does especially given the problems with depth.

What is over under on the date where this becomes impossible?? I'm guessing the Reyes hamstring lingers and this is impossible by the 13th game of the season. I am also guessing one of the other 3 is just going on the DL as Reyes comes back.

Those two predictions kind of go against each other..lol. If hutch's WAR is better than jj, ubaldo and Ervin, then the firing of AA seems unlikely unless all 4 are terrible.

One bold prediction...Lind posts an .OPS north of .730 against Lefties.

Hutch 16-10 3.50

Dickey 11-10 4.24

Reyes 52 games played

Melky .275 90 games played

Lawrie .244 7 39 88 games played

Bautista .250 22 65 109 games played.

Buerhle 9-14 5.04

etc., etc., etc., etc. Lots of ways for AA to get fired even if Hutch is good.
