Why was my thread erased??

I'm looking at that around baseball thread and it doesn't belong there. That's a mishmash of discussions so I ignore it. Why not put all threads about who was demoted into it. I was hoping on exploring what we will need as a utility of-dh. Our bench is fairly weak and limited.

The spirit of the thread is that we are short in outfield depth on the 25 man roster. Players are starting to become available. We brought in some dud and we still need a real outfielder. How exactly should we post this oh wise one.

I think the point the folks are trying to make, other team's guys don't need their own thread when this one is already here to discuss players and other things from Around Baseball.

Jose Tabata is rumoured to be available from Pittsburgh, as is John Mayberry from Philly. If every player had their own thread, the board would become incredibly cluttered

This is one of the few positions to be finalized for us. I like Sierra a little but more as a 5th of. Gose and Pillar don't seem ready and need to play daily wherever they play. I just want to discuss possibilities here. This is supposed to be a blue jay forum.

No one loves the around baseball thread. But it serves it's purpose - brief discussions and news on smaller need items. We all have a slightly different view of what's thread worthy I guess. and that's OK.

There's no "rule" at work here but here's what I would suggest...

Over the next week another 30+ players will be designated for assignment, waived or released.

If we claim or sign one it deserves a thread because we need to talk about where they might fit

If not I would put the news in around baseball. If we want to talk about how an available player might be a fit for us the roster thread is a good place

I can't imagine AA even blinked at the Francouer news. No way he's interested.

I am with you on this one. I glance through the thread titles to see what is going on, and if something interesting is happening then check out that thread. It is annoying to have to check every thread to see if anything news worthy has happened. Around Baseball, 25 man roster, a couple of others.

Anyway it is what it is, if we don't like it we can go somewhere else. Ryan Goins has his own huge thread.. So add your two cents on that since he is one of the only ones with a unique thread.

Didn't see your thread...don't agree that Frenchy is an option for any team but there are several spots that it could have went. (Opening day roster...around baseball, an older 4th OF thread). In no way are we going to set a rule that says we can't make threads about other teams. I probably make as many as anyone over the season...but look around to see if you can find a proper spot before making a thread is all we ask. If everyone else keeps bashing the OP because he wanted to know what's going on I'll be forced to lock this thread.
