Trumbo should not have been acquired by a national league team with a good first baseman already there. Really. The Angels had a hard time keeping him in the lineup even with a DH spot and a 1B who was missing a lot of time.

He'll only be out a day. Tomorrow, "he'll be ready for opening day". Few days before opening day, he hits the 15 day DL.

For sure, there's no benefit to the team that would sign him. In fact, if you won't have the chance to qualify him and possibly get back your draft pick, you might be better off waiting till after the draft to sign him.

Yep. Teams should value the player less if they wait. For one they may be less prepared. For two they lose the shot at QO retention or draft pick comp.

I think i know why Reyes got hurt. Today he made a play behind the pitcher that normally he doesn't get to those balls, he pushed it to the limit.
