glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I'm also hoping it's because they want to work with him on improving his command although I think I'd want him as far away from Pete Walker as possible. Let the guy who worked with Norris last year work with Sanchez. My thoughts exactly. I don't want Sanchez or Stroman anywhere near Walker for any extended period of time.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Hey guys, new to the site. I kind of want to see if dustin can actually start again as we don't really need him in the bullpen and esmil is pretty much 2 pitch pitcher who will post a 5+ era. Dustins stuff is still really nasty, and if healthy I think he could turn out to be the gem of the year.

I'm more likely to watch the game with Dustin pitching than Redmond or Happ (blech!.
fireballW Verified Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Yep. Definitely would be a better story if D Mac made it. However he also still has the biggest upside. Even though I wasn't a big fan of the delivery he was using in his last game.

I'd rather see Janssen traded this summer and having McGowan & Santos move into the closer & set up role and promote Stilson. I believe McGowan's days as a SP are done and would rather see him build value and play as a high leverage RP, opposed to his arm blowing up in a year and calling it a career.

Agree here, with capable arms to take over Janssen's role and a guy like Stilson who's clearly ready to contribute in a pen role, there's really no reason not be trading Janssen. Problem is, the FO thinks Janssen is somehow not replaceable in this BS window of contention

Don't know how many times I have changed apartments for that reason alone.
