Our lineup is great, no worries there, problem is rotation and depth.

So it's not enough to carry a DH that can't hit, the front office has to also play him in CF. This team is an embarrassment.

As long as it's just for spring training kicks, no biggie

You can just see the wheels turning in their heads. "We can get buy with a short bench if Sierra can cover multiple positions. Play the corner outfield, maybe some CF and 1B in a pinch".

 

Why let reality (that they have a player who can neither hit nor defend a corner OF position at a passable level) get in the way of lazy roster construction?

You would think even if they were going to use him at 1st and CF in emergency situations you would get the guy as many in game reps as possible.
