To be a little bit fair, Stroman was throwing strikes, got a nice ground ball that Izturis couldn't get to and make a double play. Guys said Goins would have turned two on that ball.

After that miss Stroman got like 4 straight singles and then a grand slam.

No I didn't know he'd been that bad. Yes it's a SSS but with only 10 days till opening day you don't want your planned starters getting rocked every outing.

I was not a big advocate of Garza not because of his talent because its not like these are the numbers he is going to put up, but because of his injury issues. Just like comparing Stroman to Garza at this point as they have both been teribad.

The only thing I was looking at really was he has given up like 19 H in 5.2 IP.... that's concerning even in SSS. Yes it is still early, but when you combine that with the fact that he's coming off a bad season + injury...

Games like this I like for Stroman. Someone needed to get the guy in the head and make him a bit more humble. He walked around like he deserved to be in the bigs. Prove that you can handle the pressure in ST first, kid.
