do the jays even care about morrow's results this early in ST?

Probably care a lot more about his mechanics, health and quality of the stuff than the box score.

U hit the nail right on the head!!! I dont understand how the organization cant see this huge f***ing pitching problem. I mean really!

I'm excited. If somehow it does work out then awesome!! if it becomes a great mess I can't wait to hear AA defend.

Anyone know if Santos is pitching today? He was secheduled yesterday but wasn't used. We're at game 8 now and he hasn't played.

Morrow staying healthy is more important than his ST results. He needs to actually make it to the regular season and stay healthy enough to throw 200 innings. It's a long shot, but Alex decided to bank his season on it, so he deserves whatever he gets.

But it's so maddening. The BP and offense will.be very good. The defense should be at least adequate. But the starting rotation could implode again so easily and he's done NOTHING to reduce the risk. It's foolish.

Does it make sense that Jeffress is pitching to avoid a DFA and McGowan is generally assumed to make the team and not get DFA'd no matter what?

Little that this team is doing makes sense to me right now

I am not sure why people get so bent out shape with ST numbers when pitchers are generally only pitching at 75%. I would say it is a good sign if he is healthy and not feeling anything. I got no doubt in his ability because he has always preformed when healthy. When he is healthy he has the ability to be a SOLID #2 pitcher.

75%? Considering most of these guys are throwing at their top velocity or just about... where do you come up with 75%?

I will find the article I read last year that pitcher generally don't throw 100% until their last 1-2 times out. They more concerned about mechanics and more or less warming up.

Agreed. I hope they bite the bullet and sign Santana, and I'm not even a fan of his. The Jays need more 200 IP arms.

i saw him pitch the other day, he has such movement on everything, you can see why he struggles with his command once he can learn to pitch ahead and get some of those 2 seamers into the strike zone as called strikes he will be a very good pitcher.

lunchbox giving it to the jays in this one 3 for 3 with a HR and 3 RBI
