Some here were saying much different things going into last year, in fact they were pretty giddy about the season, now they say they knew the team would stink.

I say this 'cause I've been checking out the MLB board archives. Anyway, doesn't change anything.

Betting on the "law of averages" as an excuse to have not made any changes to a roster that finished last in your division is plain dumb logic. And not the kind of thinking a GM of any team should have.

I wouldn't bet on that.... LOL

If AA wins the lottery this year and "everything" falls the jays way he'll be around next year, but if they end up in 4th in the east, he'll be gone.

stats be damned AA is feeling it? lol

betting on the law of averages sounds a lot like betting on AA's gut feelings. it's how the fat greek rolls.

To be honest, I didn't realize how many of the Jays' injuries were freak accidents until reading that Stark article. I don't count Lawrie or Bautista's injuries among those, since Lawrie is a careless savage and Bautista is an old man, but the rest; Reyes, Morrow, Happ and Melky, there's practically 0 chance of any of those specific injuries repeating.

The Buffalo rotation should be pretty good and the Lansing team should be fun to follow. With 2 first round picks in a strong draft class the draft will fill this board with lots of opinions prior to the draft and tons of moaning and groaning after.

Morrow is diabetic. I f***ing hate it but preexisting injuries really up the chances of being injured. At least I think we agreed upon Morrow being a risk when we discussed it a while ago.

come on... cut him a break. that's a posed picture where he's getting told exactly what to do. they have a publicity guy who you should blame for this picture.-

Once again I would like to reiterate that the bluejays white jersey is beautiful, one of the few things Beeston got right over the last 5 years

The white and blue jerseys are pretty f***ing great. The grey is s*** though. Don't like it.

I like that we have Brenden Kalfus coming up in the minor leagues. Man can that kid play. He's the future of the team!

kal and some young arms are coming up soon. the jays need to develop our prospects and this will lead to championships. youth plus experience is what will get us there. just look at the cardinals.

All in favor of banning King for not being able to keep them in the asylum?

hey "gordiedougie" you sound like those who wouldn't draft derrick coleman - one of those who thought he wasn't good enough. the hater's didn't stop him. he didn't listen. he is now a champion with with seattle seahawks. champions always find a way to win and to tune out the haters like you. go kal!

I lol'd at "he didn't listen". So wrong

just because coleman isn't able to hear as well as most, doesn't mean he can't hear things - most communication is without words and is by actions. coleman tuned out the doubt and hate. he is an inspiration to those who can and cannot hear. champions always find a way to tune out the doubters and the haters. go kal and go blue jays.
