JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 it's only 162 games until next off season when the jays have a new GM and CEO. I wouldn't bet on that.... LOL
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Some here were saying much different things going into last year, in fact they were pretty giddy about the season, now they say they knew the team would stink. I say this 'cause I've been checking out the MLB board archives. Anyway, doesn't change anything.
JaysRap Verified Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Betting on the "law of averages" as an excuse to have not made any changes to a roster that finished last in your division is plain dumb logic. And not the kind of thinking a GM of any team should have.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I wouldn't bet on that.... LOL If AA wins the lottery this year and "everything" falls the jays way he'll be around next year, but if they end up in 4th in the east, he'll be gone.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Our defence will be a big improvement on last year (provided no injuries....big if), this will in turn help our pitchers.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 They still exist. For better or worse
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 We didn't trade any more prospects?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 We have the best Knuckleballer in the League!
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Melky may be the greatest former steroid former tumour guy ever. I believe we still have the fastest grounds crew in baseball Genuinely lol'd
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 To be honest, I didn't realize how many of the Jays' injuries were freak accidents until reading that Stark article. I don't count Lawrie or Bautista's injuries among those, since Lawrie is a careless savage and Bautista is an old man, but the rest; Reyes, Morrow, Happ and Melky, there's practically 0 chance of any of those specific injuries repeating.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 in 2014, we're only 5 seasons away from Grass at the Rogers Centre!!
kgm1 Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 The Buffalo rotation should be pretty good and the Lansing team should be fun to follow. With 2 first round picks in a strong draft class the draft will fill this board with lots of opinions prior to the draft and tons of moaning and groaning after.

Morrow is diabetic. I f***ing hate it but preexisting injuries really up the chances of being injured. At least I think we agreed upon Morrow being a risk when we discussed it a while ago.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 players who take iPad selfies should be released/traded to the Phillies/DFA'd (dead for anal -Angrioter) immediately

souvlaki Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 The best signing this off season is the Pizza Nova deal. Go Leonar-Dough! How many WAR is that worth?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Once again I would like to reiterate that the bluejays white jersey is beautiful, one of the few things Beeston got right over the last 5 years
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 The white and blue jerseys are pretty f***ing great. The grey is s*** though. Don't like it.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 That avatar... which old troll used it?
mlbprospects Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I like that we have Brenden Kalfus coming up in the minor leagues. Man can that kid play. He's the future of the team! kal and some young arms are coming up soon. the jays need to develop our prospects and this will lead to championships. youth plus experience is what will get us there. just look at the cardinals.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 All in favor of banning King for not being able to keep them in the asylum?
mlbprospects Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 All in favor of banning King for not being able to keep them in the asylum? hey "gordiedougie" you sound like those who wouldn't draft derrick coleman - one of those who thought he wasn't good enough. the hater's didn't stop him. he didn't listen. he is now a champion with with seattle seahawks. champions always find a way to win and to tune out the haters like you. go kal!
mlbprospects Verified Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I lol'd at "he didn't listen". So wrong just because coleman isn't able to hear as well as most, doesn't mean he can't hear things - most communication is without words and is by actions. coleman tuned out the doubt and hate. he is an inspiration to those who can and cannot hear. champions always find a way to tune out the doubters and the haters. go kal and go blue jays.
