jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 lol 0 chance , every year we go through the same thing, and every year it never happens. We paste the lineups and compare the players, and then every year the yanks finish better. So, when will you guys ever learn? The Yankees Infield is total s***. I don't think it's fair to say there is a "0" chance that we finish above them. Especially when they haven't signed a FA pitcher yet.

They also have Pineda who is apparently healthy and looking good, fighting for a spot in the rotation. Plus, I'm sure they aren't done, if they fail at Tanaka, they are going to get the next best option starting pitcher.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I got a good little chuckle over Astros 126 odds lol.

C: McCann > Navarro 1B: EE >>>> Tei 2B: s*** = s*** 3B: Lawrie >>> s*** SS: Reyes >> Jeter LF: Melky healthy = Gardner CF: Ellsbury >/= Rasmus (FA year) RF: Bautista > Beltran DH: Lind >> Soriano Bench: Yankees > Jays Rotation: Jays > Yankees (NO Tanaka) Bullpen: Jays >> Yankees
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 LF: Melky healthy = Gardner Doubt it.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Rotation TOR > NYY Idk.. break down the rotation comparison amigo so I can see what you're thinking
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 If he put up identical numbers as he did last year, what would Beltran's WAR be as a DH? Just curious.. know he will play in the field mostly.. he may be better with NY's smaller RF compared to St.L though maybe?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Doubt it. Saying Ellsbury = Rasmus is worse than that.. at least you can say Melky was a 4 WAR player before last year and you're hoping he somehow gets back to that (though not likely)
