kgm1 Verified Member Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I think the biggest question right now is ??? Has Arod played his last game ? Now that it is down to 61 million do the Yankees just pay him out . And does he want this ? Much as I and a lot of people want this to just go away I think it will be around for a long time .
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I think there is a difference between thinking someone should go to jail or is a bad person for using drugs and believing that employers have the right to discipline or terminate employees. In the case of the ARod MLB feud it is being over looked that the person bringing this dispute to the courts is Alex Rodriguez. There was a collectively bargained set of guidelines for employment that ARod clearly violated. The MLBPA, ARod's collective bargaining representative, has charged the MLB with catching and disciplining players that break these guidelines, like ARod. The MLBPA also defended ARod and stopped the MLB from disciplining him in accordance to 7.3.A (a permanent suspension).
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 o2cu.. You seem like also the type of guy that resents that these guys get paid so much money to play a game. Is that accurate? not at all... I respect people who have the dedication to work 7 days a week from the time they are kids to be the best at what they do. american sports are behind the rest of the world when it comes to drugs in sports. the players, league and owners dont "really" want to fix it.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Sloppy is a juicer, no doubt in my mind Several of their pitchers seem suspicious to me too. Regardless, it appears that A-Rod wants to try to take everyone with him. He's going to get years worth of lawsuits thrown at him if he isn't careful.
