I think we all got fooled into thinking Canada could match up against anybody after doing so well against the "#2 team in the world".

But it turns out Belgium is just really s***.

Yeah, Belgium didn't look good at all against Canada or Morocco. Looks like Croatia and Morocco will be going through.

Canada is still pretty raw as a group. They have potential and with more experience they should get better in the upcoming years.

It's pretty insane how young this team is. Alphonso Davies will be just 25 years when the next world cup rolls around and all our other stars (David, Buchanon, etc) will be mid 20's too.

The most exciting part is the next wave of talent that's coming up.

Daniel Jebbison - youngest player in the English Premier League history to score in his debut.

Luca Koleosho - Debut in Spain (2nd best league in the world) as a 17-year-old.

Lucas Dias - 19-year-old playing for Sporting B in Portugal

Marshall Rutty - Gets a lot of Alphonso Davies comps which is pretty unfair lol, but is strongly linked to Liverpool.

Then off the top of my head, there is Sabbatasso, Brym, Breza, Mitovic, Okello, Nelson, Bassong, etc.

OUT: Borjan, Victoria, Hoilett, Atiba, Wotherspoon.

Canada soccer is just scratching its potential and this team is going to be really good for a really long time.

A 20+ million price tag would price him out of most teams; he would be looking at a move to the EPL or the biggest clubs in the top 5.

Saying that though, he's the best player on a team in the knockout round in the Champions Leauge so he is not getting sold until the summer at the earliest.

I also love how I have been on this board for almost 10 years and I don't know how to properly post a tweet.

Tyler Adams is now my fav USA soccer player after how he handled all those politically charged questions.

What a gem.

He was already my favourite. Well answered. He wanted a fight

Huge shot for Lionel Messi and his legacy tomorrow

Remarkably, even though I only have 4 colleagues here two of them are from Argentina and are fn stoked

Been a great WC. Very sad to see it end. Mixed feelings about Canada's showing but overall they were as good if not better than expected. I'm left with what could have been if we got at least a point vs BEL and Atibe's header vs MOR was a couple inches lower etc etc etc.

Lots of upsets but 2 of the best in the Final the way it should be.

I'm not crazy about either team. I like ENG and DEN. But my Mom is from Argentina and Messi is Messi so at 35 I hope he gets to hoist it.

Messi scores 1-0... dominating so far.

2-0 it's over.

From the guy who never says the Jays lost until the last out? lol. I thought it was over too.

What a game for the ages. Not a big soccer fan but have been watching World Cups and Euros since '78 or so. That was one of the best finals in any sport Ive seen.

Yeah the first 75-80 mins of the game were boring with Argentina dominating and France looking awful. Thought it was over. Though after getting that penalty kick, France just went to another gear. The last ten minutes and extra time afterwards were awesome. Hate when a match is decided by penalty kicks, but happy Argentina was able to win.

I even fell asleep around the 60 minute mark and missed it all. Watched it from there on when I woke up, as it was all over every Sport channels ticker, I knew the final immediately and was shocked. One of the best games I can remember.

It was the middle of the day, Spanky.
