So i wonder if last night's game is going to affect Marcelo Flores. For those of you who don't know Flores who was born and raised in Canada (before leaving to go to Europe to play at a young age) is widely viewed as someone who will commit to the Mexican national team. He just turned 18 and is one of the top prospects in the Arsenal system and is consistently one of Mexico best performers for their youth team. Big time talent who looks like is going to be a star but his Dad (who coaches soccer in Canada but of Mexico herritage) has made it clear he wants his son to represent Mexico and obviously what boy does not want to make his poppa proud BUT with Canada now basically a lock to qualify I wonder if this changes anything.

 

Flores, Dias, Jebbison and Sali are big time European prospects that are dual nationals and I'm praying performances like these get those guys to commit. Canada is basically a lock for the next 2 world cups at this point with an exciting elite young team.

 

Flores - deciding between Mexico and Canada

Dias - deciding between Portgual and Canada

Jebbison - deciding between England and Canada

Sali - deciding between Romania and Canada (Romania just called him as a 15 year old to their SR team and capped him so he's likely gone)

 

 

Jebbison i think is a lock just because you have to be like a world class player in the EPL to get a call from England lol.

Tajon Buchanon got screwed over by not winning top young MLS player of the year. The award is voted on by the players, clubs and media...both the players and clubs voted Buchanon as top player but the American media all voted for the USMNT star Pepi and thus Pepi just edged out Bucahnon for the award which is ridiculous.

 

 

Whatever Buchanon is going to Europe in 2 months and is going to be a STAR.

Canadian STUD Stephen Eustaquio is reportedly close to going to the Portuguese giants FC Porto.

Canada is winning the world cup.

 

Honestly, if Canada ever goes up against Italy in the world cup, I hope Italy gets absolutely curb stomped.

 

The entertainment will be immense.

Is Borjan always this good? He's been incredible. Most underrated player on the team.

 

He's usually solid, but he's been playing way over his head, and it's great to see. The negative thing about Borjan is he has a tendency to give up really weak goals or make really boneheaded plays but yeah haven't seen any of that in the World Cup Qualifiers.

A win all but guarantees Canada a spot in the upcoming World Cup.

Yessir. The game was almost forfeited. El Salvador announced they wouldn't play over a dispute with the country (They had to pay for their own winter jackets when they played in the USA and leaked to the media so the football federation said they would not get their bonuses so they said they would not play but then an hour later changed their minds)
