I don't understand why Defoe would come to the MLS in the first place. It's a trash league for s***** players and old has-beens. He maybe should have done like 5 minutes of research to confirm this before moving his whole life to Canada.

lol, he couldn't make it onto the 1st team of Tottenham in his final year in the BPL. He obviously came to TFC because they offered more money than any PL team would.

Stadium looks really nice but I'm afraid they are making the capacity too big. If you have 30 000 seats I doubt more than 25000 will go to a game. I think its better to be filled at capacity at a lower number.

Its too big no matter what. Its better to have a high demand for a sold out 20 000 then have unfilled seats. Judging by the TV numbers TFC gets Im not sure that 30 000 will ever work.

Looks pretty f***ing awesome to me. With a budget of ~100M... I'd say that it's pretty much a given that the Argo's will be relocating to BMO though.

Can someone educated on soccer give thoughts? From my very casual viewpoint, seems like a solid deal all things considered.

Altidore is a complete donkey at the premier league level but tore the Dutch league apart so he should do well in the MLS. If he plays well I'd expect him to go back to Europe to try to prove himself again.

Defoe leaving was a given though... he checked out a few games into the season lol. Toxic attitude. Here they get a player who should be great in MLS and cash back. Best they could have hoped for.
