eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 You made it back or are you still partying downtown haha? Dude I'm just glad I didn't get herpes. Got home like 10 mins ago. Solid night. Let's do it again soon.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I'm going to use this thread for football (soccer) general chat too lol, did you guys see any of the Champions League games? The Chelsea-PSG game was probably the most excited and un-nerving game I've had in a long time lol, when Ba scored I yelled "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" so had my voice cracked lmao
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Damn, Atletico Madrid beats Barca. Today is the day Atletico becomes a true force in La Liga. Incredible. United fold under pressure (as predicted) in Munich. Fantastic two days of Champions League.

United fold under pressure (as predicted) in Munich. Fantastic two days of Champions League. IMO Atletico became a force when they beat Real in the first 10 games in La Liga, their transition from Falcao to Costa and Villa was so seamless, it will be interesting to see what they do in their summer. Courtois is going back to Chelsea after this season from loan and can't re-loan him and Costa seems like he's moving to another club (Chelsea are rumored heavily to be perusing him). It'll be interesting to see what they can do to fix goalkeeper and striker positions. Barca is going to be so crap next year compared to the other 2, they're banned from buying players for 2 transfer windows IIRC and both Valdes and Puyol are walking. Pinto is complete s***

Originally saw a rumor that they ahd planned on spending upwards of 200-300M euros in transfer fees for this upcoming window. Wow. Yup, Barcelona are shady as f***. I hate the team, but even more so how their run. They're up to their neck in debts, and all the refs in the CL were in their favour in recent years (ok maybe this is a bit bias lol). But regardless they broke FIFA rules in signing under 18 players from overseas so they deserve this. They also deserve a CL ban for the Neymar situation. It's sad to see UEFA expel Fenerbahce (#1 in Turkish League atm) but won't do the same for Barca, I don't even know how they escaped it. Maybe I'm hating on them a bit too much, but the Neymar + under 18 signings are pretty shady moves
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Defoe is out. Bradley and Osorio not starting. Could be an ugly one. Hopefully Gilberto or DeRo can step up today. Toronto FC @torontofc 1m The @ExpediaCA Starting XI: Julio Cesar, Bloom, Caldwell, Orr, Morrow, Jackson, Bekker, Hall, Issey, Gilberto, De Rosario. #TFClive

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 wow I knew soccer salaries were low but didn't think that low, lol @ playing often and making <100,000 while defoe and bradley make 6+ million. Obviously they deserve a lot more but what a difference.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Exciting 2nd half. TFC dominating despite being destroyed by injuries.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 TFC struggling to get anything going, just give it away whenever they have a chance
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Brutal red card, frig I hate soccer LOL
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 LOL that's a red? This is why I don't watch soccer much.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 LOL that's a red? This is why I don't watch soccer much. Seriously.. they waste countless minutes on fake injuries and goal celebrations, why not add a quick instant replay? OR AN EXTRA REF?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Goallllllllllllllllllllllllllllll! Jackson! Great pass by defoe!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Chicago sucks. TFC will hold on to win this.
