I know the player makes a certain salary when with the MLB club that when he is in the minors but ....

 

Do we have the players rights for the entire year? Can we call the player up and down as much as possible during the year?

They don't count to the 40 man initially, but if you call them up to the bigs they are added to the 40 man, and then can't be sent down again unless DFA'd and clear waivers.

Pretty nice trade for Colorado. Hale is an extreme groundball guy with two offspeed pitches that have shown the ability to get swinging strikes. He's very undervalued right now.

Alexi Ogando to Red Sox on a 1-year MLB deal. Guess they need to keep loading up on former Texas Rangers pitchers.. hope Boston didn't give too much guaranteed money, as he's had injury problems the last 2 seasons, and was horrid last year. Bad news for Britton and/or Workman (if Ogando passes a physical, which is no sure thing.)

Only if he stays healthy, as he's missed chunks of 2013 and 2014. Boston is also looking to trade Mujica as well, likely to reduce their luxury tax bill they are facing and to get Ogando and Ross on the team.
