CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Turns out McCutchen doesn't have an oblique strain... he has a fractured rib good going, Gibson. That was an ultimate troll move by the Dbacks. Wow. f*** them. I bet even Goldschmidt feels bad now. That really, really blows for the Pirates.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I was just watching some highlights from the MLB Network and I realized how broads like Lauren Shehadi don't know s*** about baseball but got the job for their nice pair of legs (always wearing skirts) and pair of tits. Just my 2 cents.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Gotta love fangraphs' analysis of Dunn as a pitcher: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/adam-dunn-as-a-pitcher/ "Dunn walked the next batter, Adrian Beltre on five pitches. Then J.P. Arencibia fouled out to first base on the first pitch because of course he did."

Just my 2 cents. Man, there are people who are baseball broadcasters who know s*** all about baseball and DON'T have a nice pair of legs or tits... Joe Morgan, for example... Which would you prefer?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Classy. I'm guessing she has a better swing than you .. Hater.

Terrible broadcaster but awesome and increasingly underrated player.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Classy. I'm guessing she has a better swing than you .. Jesus. Better swing than Trea Turner, lol.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Great read about the curveball http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/88249076/overhand-curveball-evolution-mlb-history-of-the-game#!bxY18X
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Obligatory Yan Gomes update: woba .353, wRC+ 127, 3.8 war. Still a stud. How long until we find out a high babip is true talent?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Dream wife I think you mean who wants a wife that can outhit them? I probably could have stopped that statement after 4 words.

Vincent Verified Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Thanks for making my day even worse. If Navarro continued from last season he'd arguably be having a better season (offensively), but he didn't. Of course this doesn't take into account game calling, pitch framing etc. I'd like to think Navarro is an above average game caller based on how our rotation has done, though that's just speculation. http://i.imgur.com/3RMILpX.png
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yanks winning 1-0, Detroit couldn't even score 1 run vs. Shane "Scrub" Greene
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 who wants a wife that can outhit them? I probably could have stopped that statement after 4 words. If it was her, I think I would be okay with her out hitting me haha. Now if she threw harder than me, that's a whole different story.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yanks winning 1-0, Detroit couldn't even score 1 run vs. Shane "Scrub" Greene At the rate the Tigers are going, a Jays sweep of the Tigers could put the Royals ahead in the Central.. the Tigers are 9-11 post All-Star break.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 My Cleveland to win the Central bet when they were in last place is looking better right now. Still would sell it for $5 though (It's $66 for the win)

Vincent Verified Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 WTF, Brad Ausmus pinch hits for JD Martinez with Miguel Cabrera with 2 on and nobody out when they have the s***** 1B D Kelly coming up next anyway, and Miguel grounds into a DP.... JD Martinez has better offensive numbers this season (I'm not saying Miguel isn't better, I'm saying it would make sense to have 2 good hitters hitting rather than 1). Edit: Yanks win!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The Tigers are much like the Blue Jays. Have some really good star players and then massive holes like Rajai Davis as the everyday CF.

Don't 2nd guess. PH Miguel over JD everytime.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hurl you have like no chance to win this bet. Which is why I would sell it for $5. How about Cleveland for the 2nd wildcard. Would you bet against that one? The Indians knocking the Jays off is the start of the Cleveland turn around and making Toronto the worst sports town. Indians make the playoffs thanks to another teams collapse, Lebron wins them a championship vs. Leafs two collapses in a row, Jays big payroll busts, TFC splash failure, Bon Jovi can't bring in the Bills! Join in the Cleveland Rocks movement.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Don't 2nd guess. PH Miguel over JD everytime. So you'd rather PH for the guy with a 152 wRC+ (JD) than the guy with 78 wRC+ (Kelly)? Good thinking, JD Martinez might hit into a triple play. #URSMART
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 2 on, nobody out. What, you think the Yankees will walk the bases loaded with nobody out to bring up Kelly?
