Is a good head of hair more important to Korean or Japanese woman? I'm sure this will be a strong influence on his baseball whereabouts next year. In all seriousness though, it would probably be better for his career to make the jump to Japan. He could probably mash 35+ HR and get paid pretty well. And he wouldn't be able to read the newspaper so it'd be better for his ego.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Looked up Miles Mikolas on Round Rock Express website Found out that JP Arencibia has a .298 OBP and 10 HR in AAA since he was optioned there Shrugged and moved on park and league effected numbers aren't impressive.

Caper Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Buck it was interference you idiot. Did you here the commentators? How the f*** could they say the bat didn't hit the glove?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Did you here the commentators? How the f*** could they say the bat didn't hit the glove? I had my headphones on with the sound off.... Turned it on to hear the commentators saying that. Thought I missed something. Looked like obvious interference to me.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 4-0 now after Tillman could not catch a line drive.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Anyone watching the Red Sox/Cubs game on TSN2? 3-0 Cubs on a 2 run shot on Ruggiano. Betts still can't buy a hit.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 4-0 on infield single. Come on, Texas!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 And this is the ace of the O's?? Tillman looks awful. With those curve balls, he looks like one who's going to give up a ton of HRs.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 jays need some help from the rangers tonight. Yeah. Sanchez for Odor?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Does Mikolas still have dat stache??
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Mikolas looks legit so far. Something the Rangers desperately need right now..
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 4-0 now after Tillman could not catch a line drive. Buerhle >>> Tillman
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 You know what's nice? Caring about what the rest of the division is doing in July.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Did MASN have tech problems? Now they've switched to the Rangers feed.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Dave Cameron just published an article arguing the "they shouldn't care about the ML roster" angle: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/padres-continue-to-be-weird-extend-seth-smith/ Cameron writes that Smith will be worth the money and is a good player... yet they'd be better off trading him for a marginal prospect since they're not going to win anyway. I just don't understand this approach. Not every team should go full-Astros. My favourite team-building model is the White Sox/Brewers one. Never rebuild, just keep trying to get better. Every few years you'll chance your way into 90 wins. People couldn't wrap their heads around the Abreu and Garza signings. Well, Garza has been a key cog for a first-place team and Abreu is a great building block on a respectable squad. Smith deal was a nice deal. Extend the contract to a DH in a national league team is an excellent idea. Minaya is great.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 You know what's nice? Caring about what the rest of the division is doing in July. Although with the way the Yankees are stinking, the O's are the only real threat right now.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 We basically get to care about three games a day (Blue Jays, Orioles, Yankees) instead of just the one. That's awesome! Of course, we also should keep an eye on the Angels and Mariners as well.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Don't look now, but the Rays have won 5 in a row. BTS' post count is about to climb...
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 6-1 Cubs over the Sox. Loving this.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Mookie Betts just struck out looking.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Of course, we also should keep an eye on the Angels and Mariners as well. Wild card "sudden death game" is a real s***. AA might trade Pompey, Norris and Sanchez for just one playoff game (Joe Saunders beated Yu Darvish )
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 How about that Brock Holt. Another hit.. if only the Sox had a middle-of the order bat to produce along with Ortiz, they'd be a better team than this.
