GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Jaime Garcia is good. Dont think they can trade Morales by deadline because of it being so soon after signing, not 100% sure though. I think for offseason signings it's June 15th. But they can be traded prior to that with consent from the player. I think.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Jeter and his .626 OPS still batting 2nd I see Come on Girardi, people won't hate you THAT much for moving him to the 6 or 7 spot where he belongs.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 He's going to be an All Star. Of course The might as well give him another gold glove while they're at it Last chance to do and all...

TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Surprised that TD'A struggled so much, especially from the defensive end. Not surprised they sent him down to work things out. He had a concussion too I think , and was recovering from that. He's only 25, so theres time, and if he's not elite, he should get his D back to the point where he can stick as at least as a platoon type guy. Of course, he was supposed to be elite, so definitely a disappointment on the Mets part at this point. If D'Arnaud doesnt pan out, that trade, as it was originally constituted (ie. the deals to get Gose aside), looks terrible from the Jays point of view. Drabek may never make it back after a second TJ surgery, and even if he does, looks like he will always have make up and command concerns. Michael Taylor is pretty much a AAAA guy now. He was traded for Brett Wallace, who is in the same boat as a AAAA flamed out prospect. Luckily the Jays still have Gose who is contributing at the Major League level as the everyday CF in Rasmus' absence.
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I never said anything about tanking. I said don't put 10 million dollars into a DH rental player when you have a meh team. 10 million does seem like an overpay, was surprised it was that much.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 You joke? I assume he is talking about the hit tool since defensive value is irrelevant in that type of situation. From a pure hitting perspective, I'd go with Cabrera.
